I needed this today. Bump!

I think about this too, and this thread makes me feel better! It's true - if we don't take care of ourselves, how will we take care of our furry children?

Wow! That is phenomenal! Way to go!

I feel you. I've been here since 2011, have lost a total of 80lbs but only maintained about 50lbs loss. It's a daily struggle and I know it will be a struggle for the rest of my life. Sometimes it just comes down to a moment in time where you tell yourself no to something! Once that first 'no' happens, it seems to get…

1,500 seems too low. When you first started MFP, did you tell it you wanted to lose 1 or 2 pounds per week? If you put 2, it gave you a 1,000 calorie deficit which may have put you at 1,500 per day. I would change it to 1 or 1.5 pounds a week loss. Go to Home > Goals > Edit Daily Nutrition Goals. ETA: I am a 5'6 female and…

I try to save enough calories throughout the day for 2 servings of 110cal/serving ice cream. I love the Breyer's 1/2 fat slow churned chocolate brownie ice cream. A good amount of ice cream for 220cals. If I don't have enough calories left for two servings I do one, or eat a fiber one brownie.

It sounds like you were pretty stringent up until March Madness, yes? An excess in sodium will usually result in a few pounds of water weight. If you accurately weigh and measure everything you consume, what you are seeing is likely not fat gain, but water gain. It will fall back off.

Way to go! And hello, fellow Arizonians! :)

If you've only been at it a few weeks, I would suggest waiting a bit longer. If you are truly weighing solid foods and measuring liquids, then based on your screenshot you should be losing weight. Give it another week or so, and make sure you drink plenty of water (in case you are just retaining water). Good luck!

I'd love to have you as a friend! I realistically can lose another 100lbs but 50lbs would be a great mini goal for me! I'm also 5'6.5.

Way to go!!! Amazing progress!

Weight loss is simply burning more calories than you consume over time. It really has little to do with macro/micro nutrients. You may find that fat, protein and fiber will help keep you full longer, which can aid in consuming less calories.

Who says you can't have sweets, too? You should be able to fit them into your day with a little budgeting.

Love all of these. Thank you for sharing!

Sounds like you're overthinking it just a tad. :) Just try to stay in your calorie range during your 'waking' hours. So, if you got home at 11:30pm and overate because you were hungry, you might try bringing some snacks to work that will keep you feeling full so that you don't want to eat the contents of the fridge when…

Mixed with cookie butter or brown sugar and a little butter.

You might try searching for "pork roast cooked" in the database. I just tried and there are lots of different options that includes measurements in grams.

Don't tell me how to live my life.

Love TJs. I love their frozen "Trader Ming's" kung pao chicken meals. So delicious. Also love their desserts. And cookie butter! I also buy basil plants from them.

I heard someone pronounce orange as "arnge" once.

Ha! The tare function is the best! Glad you've seen the error of your ways. B)

THIS! 2oz of pasta just does not cut it for me.

You can have abs and still drink craft beer. :D

+1 for fiber. If you like oatmeal, maybe portion out 1/2 cup and cook it with water. Add some fruit to it for extra fiber, or even a little peanut butter for protein! Oatmeal always fills me up.

That's a steal - $1 per pack?! They're usually $3.99 where I live. :(

A sunny 78 degrees!

I was finally able to sync last night after not being able to all day. I wish Fitbit would stop releasing new devices until they have their software figured out. So many people rely on the sync to MFP. It's very frustrating.

I love Thug Kitchen! Enjoy.
