  • Hello, I am in week 6 of C25K, and did myself a mischief trying to do more than I should, despite people telling me not to. I too found it really easy, never got out of breath, started running on the rest days, adding on an extra ten minutes here and there, and doing interval sprints to speed up weight loss. But I ended up…
  • Hi I started running not long ago in completely the wrong shoes. I started feeling pain in my foot and toes, and eventually went to a running store and got proper running shoes fitted. Best thing I ever did. If you you are going to run seriously, it is worth investing in proper shoes. Also get a size bigger that your…
  • Thanks for your help everyone.
  • Again, thankyou all for your thoughts, will def look up some good running form tips on you tube. Might be just my inexperience/ crappy running style. For the person who asked, I do run on a treadmill at present, hoping to make it into the big wide world soon. Am pleased to report bigger shoes have definately done the…
  • Thankyou everyone for your replies and helpful suggestions. I did as many of you suggested and went to a running shop and had my gait analysed on a treadmill, which was fine apparently. I did get some shoes a size bigger, and this seems to have sorted the toe pain problem. However, I still got pain in my left leg when…
  • I just started this, and downloaded an app on my phone, that lists all the days and timings. It beeps when you are supposed to start jogging, and beeps again when you need to walk, so you don't have to keep counting or checking your watch. would definately recommend it. Look in the app store. Good luck.

  • Hello, would love a low carb buddy. I did the Atkins diet years ago, and there is something about the rigidity of it, and the rules that seems to suit me, it's like I need clear boundaries. When I have these, I can be very strict with myself, and it works! I don't know whether I will do that diet again per se, but am…
  • I actually put a similar post up a couple of days ago, but I only had one reply that said to check the recipie section of the forum, that there was a whole thread devoted to shirataki noodles. can't find it, however. BUT, i did some research and found out that you can buy them at asian supermarkets, and in large tesco's in…
  • I would love a buddy, I'm starting tomorrow. I can get demotivated very quickly, I'm a wee bit impatient for results. Do add me if you want. Emma x
  • He could try 'Fybogel' sachets from Boots. They are a powder that you mix into a cup of water and drink really quickly because it thickens as you stir it. They are orange flavour, and not unpleasant, I took one a day when I did the atkins diet, which really constipates you, and they really did the trick. I hope it helps,…
