Before I got sick, I was a size-6, 160-lb weightlifting machine. Then, when the onset on pain and infections started, I gained 40+ pounds, so I can sympathize. All we can do is move forward. There's no going back to the old us, just moving on to a new, better, stronger, tougher us with more resolve and more love for…

"I put it in my diary worked out and decided to wake up and be extra good today." Good on you for not kicking yourself uselessly! Glad you enjoyed your cake and are having a healthy attitude towards it :)

I hope you get feeling better soon! I will also say that there are non-medicinal ways to help a cough, and coffee is personally my favorite :p Like everyone is saying, focus on getting better and you can always kick back into ketosis when you're feeling a bit more like yourself!

Probably not, I'm not here to set myself up for failure! =p

Welcome! Also a low-carber and relatively active. As someone suggested above, join the Low-Carber Forum! We're a friendly bunch =)

Definitely a yo-yo-er. I'm all the way in Virginia, but feel free to add me if you'd like =) I just started a low-carb weight loss plan!

I'd put money on it being from the sodium. Those things are packed with salt! Doesn't mean they aren't delicious, though :p

Check-in for week one: 1. Get appropriate sleep each night. This most certainly is not happening. Today, I've gotten a real mattress, rather than a futon, and I'm hoping that will make a world of difference =p At the very least, I'm making a concentrated effort to go to sleep by 11 and wake up by 7 or 8, and I'm counting…

Tonight, while my fam was eating piza, I actually turned it down for chicken salad (I am VERY grateful that my family doesn't get angry anout how much chicken I go through)! I'm considering this a victory of wills =p

The amount of mayo-based, bacon-topped chicken salad you consume confounds your friends when they pare it against your weight loss

I turned down pizza! Me, an admitted junk addict. Turned down that chewy crust, that browned cheese, that crispy bacon.... I gotta stop typing before I talk myself into getting a slice.

We can do it! Holler if you need some support <3

My mom had this issue, said "Forget it," went to a Chinese buffet with a friend, stepped on the scale the next morning to see the damage- and had lost 4 pounds. Sometimes shocking your body a bit can be a great help ;) Good luck! I hope you get below 200 soon, you can do it!

Goals for March: 1) Get appropriate sleep each night. I have awful insomnia but am hoping with the lavender oil I made, the teas I bought, and some exercise each day, I'll be getting better... 2) Speaking of which, exercise each day! Strength or cardio, does not matter, but I know I just have to get moving, every day, no…

I'm sooooo down. Lost 2 pounds this week so far! Can't wait to see how y'all are doing =)

I have a general Instagram that I'm hoping, as I am able to exercise and get some good cookin' done more frequently, to use as part of my weight loss journey! [post edited by MFP mods - please do not post personal details on the open forums. Share this info via private message].

MarchMadness sounds amazing. Or Spring ShapeUp. So does everything else, I love a good challenge! Let me know if this gets going? =)

If you're interested in hitting the gym, talk to your doctor about if they feel comfortable with you working out on machines or in manners that don't put pressure on your knees. Try the pool (aquatic cardio is incredibly beneficial for bad joints or joints under pressure!), a recumbent bike if you feel comfortable with it,…

I'm on a stationary bike, woop wooooop!
-
40 pounds, let's do it! I've sone half an hour on a stationary bike today, so almost 300 calories... Doesn't feel like enough, but I also don't want to burn out and anything is better than nothing! We can do this, y'all =)

Treating the symptoms: Like everyone says, ginger is your best bet. Ginger tea is my personal favorite, but it's up to you, as long as it's actual ginger! Also, I know you said the nausea makes you less likely to drink water/tea, but not being adequately hydrated can definitely contribute to feelings of nausea. Treating…
