  • GIRL HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And good luck with losing 50 pounds, I'm in the same boat. I feel like the mental part is the hardest, haha. I've heard recomp is so mentally challenging so soon after losing so much weight! Wouldn't know, never lost enough to start bulking, but good luck! =p
  • PTH inhibits osteoblasts, which build up bone matter through osteogenesis by depositing calcium into bone. You may want to consider talking to your doctor about calcium absorption and options for supplements which can help, like Vitamin D, or eliminating certain foods which can hinder absorption (of which there are a SLEW).
  • NAILED IT!!!

  • With keto, I pretty much don't get hungry for 12-16 hours at a time- I can stop eating at 7 PM and comfortably not even think about eating until noon or 1 the next day. Recently, I've made it more of an effort (reaching 16 hours every day, trying to get to 18 a few times a week, hoping to lengthen that time more as I…
  • Hiii even if it seems dead here, every now and then there's some liveliness, and remember.... "Mostly dead is slightly alive!" =p Hey! I'm Amanda. I tend to follow the low-carb/keto way of eating. I'm also interested in intermittent fasting, but haven't totally taken the plunge! Good to see I'm not the only keto-er here =)…
  • Thank you guys SO much! I've never had a toaster oven and had no idea it could handle so much, haha. I'll be sure to share all this with him. Thanks! :)
  • You look great! Congratulations! I'd be curious to know about your lifting as well =)
  • Damn girl! That is phenomenal, way to go!
  • You look phenomenal! Congratulations!
  • Way to go! That is fantastic! What were some of your favorite low-carb go-tos?
  • I had never eaten eggs before this. Growing up, my parents never made them since THEY hated eggs, and something about the smell just turned me off of them. I went "Sigh, guess I have to learn to like them..." and my first time eating scrambled eggs I was IN LOVE. Still have issues with hardboiled eggs some days, and I've…
  • To be honest, I get most of mine at Wal-Mart, but I'm sure GNC or other vitamin stores in your area would have it! You could also give Amazon a shot. If you still have trouble finding it, maybe ask the folks at the gym you go to if they have any ideas.
  • You look fabulous! Congratulations, you've done so wonderfully!
  • Definitely related, and hard to overcome. I take over a dozen pills a day for everything from chronic pain to tuberculosis (like, are you kidding me?) and depression (almost certainly related). For me, the most help has been finding foods that I can substitute in as comfort foods. For example, I'll make "pizza" with a…
  • This sounds stupid (and very self-promoting, I'm sorry), but if you look on my Instagram (benchmasterandsquatqueen), there are a few playlists I've posted that really keep me going! The tag is #themethursday
  • Hang in there! You're still losing fat and are ABLE to exercise more (like you said), so you're headed in the right direction. I understand wanting to lose weight, but edema weight and fat weight are two totally different monsters. On these meds, you can exercise regularly and get the cardiovascular benefits- so maybe…
  • I did 150 minutes of cardio every week this month! I'm about to head out to be the health director at a summer camp for the next 3 months, so it's going to be a challenge getting that exercise in.... but it's all about prioritizing my health (I say now, ask me in a month =p )
  • I got my 150 minutes in! I introduced a little bit of interval running this week, too, and surprised myself with how well I did and how much I enjoyed it! Feeling good about everything, to be honest. Proud of all y'all! =)
  • Congrats on your success so far! Keto can definitely do great work for some people. Have you joined the group "Low Carber Daily Forum"? I'd link, but I'm on my phone =p Again, congratulations ^.^
  • Things have been okay! I have 25 minutes left for this week to get in for cardio, and given my work schedule tomorrow, it's going to be an actual effort to get into the gym, haha. But I've hit my 150 minutes the last two weeks, and I won't ruin my streak now!
  • You will be great next week! Hang in there =) Good luck with the diet plan! What is that involving for you?
  • Veggies! I also throw it in a chicken salad wrap with bacon, or I'll make a serving of tortilla chips at home out of the low-carb wraps from Mission. Mmmm, geeze, you've got me hungry again just thinking about it!
  • Got through the last of my goal of 150 minutes this morning! I have a meeting tomorrow morning at 11, then have to be at work at 2:30 until 11.... So the gym is likely unfortunately not an option. But at least I got through my time for this week!
  • So did you beat Kai Greene yet? ;) Congratulations! You look fantastic.
  • Oh my gosh! I'm sitting right under 180, hoping to get down to 160 by my birthday (August 2nd), and you are so motivating. You look fantastic! You go, Glen Coco!
