That's awesome you just did a 10 mile run! I looked at the Bridge to 10K but I didn't really like that it included walk breaks. Since getting to week 7 on the C25k I've realized that my runs go MUCH better when I just get in a groove and keep going! This is the half plan that I'm thinking about trying-…

I had that problem one time too. I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but here are a few things to check! Under the settings, check the 'volume boost' to make sure it's not too low Look at the 'notify on media channel', I have to have that checked for it to work on my headphones. If I have the volume of my phone set to…

I'd probably do week one an additional time and see if your knee gets strong enough to run every other day. If you decide to keep going and run every third day, then I would probably try and go for a long walk on one of the non-running days so you're still getting exercise and strengthening your knee without adding as much…

I've been considering doing the same thing! I found a half marathon training program that looks good to me, but they say that you should be running 10-15 miles a week comfortably before starting. So, after I finish C25k I think I'll spend a couple weeks adding in a 4th and 5th 3 mile run before I start that program. I…

Finished W7D1 tonight! For the program I'm using today's run was 25 minutes, I made it just a smidge over 2.5 miles in that time. My knee has been bothering me, so the beginning of the run was a little rough, but once I got going my knee started feeling better and the rest of the run was great!

Made it through W6D3 tonight! For some reason my app has today's run at 25 minutes rather than 22 like the online plan has. I decided to just follow the app and ended up doing 2.6 miles in 25 minutes. I can't believe I'm saying this- but I'm kind of glad that I'm all done with the intervals and taking walk breaks! I feel…

Trust me, at the beginning I couldn't imagine that I'd ever look forward to running either! I like to run every other day (Sun/Tues/Thurs) on my non-running days I usually go for a long-ish walk with my dog up an old logging road that has a decent incline. I do like to have some sort of activity every day, but I feel like…

For the running sections, the goal isn't to go fast at all- the goal is just to make it to the end! It's okay to run really slow. If you're running slow and still having a hard time, I wonder if you might find it more helpful to spend a week or two just walking to build up your fitness a bit? If there is somewhere near you…

Both of these are under 300 calories per serving French Onion- http://anniescookinglab.com/2012/02/19/french-onion-soup/ Tomato Basil and Parmesan- this soup gets RAVE reviews for everyone who tries it, it's amazing! http://anniescookinglab.com/2012/01/29/tomato-basil-parmesan-soup/

I just finished W6D1 and feel the same way! I've gotten to the point where I'm actually looking forward to going running- pretty cool!

I would say I do about half and half. I have the same thing for breakfast everyday, so I usually get on MFP afterwards and put in my cereal and then whatever I'm having for dinner. I live alone and just cook for myself, so I like to make big meals that can be reheated so I get several dinners out of cooking once. When I do…

I made it through day 3! I debated all day whether to go to the gym tonight, I had a big exam this morning and didn't get much sleep last night so I wasn't sure I was quite ready for the big run. I decided to give it a try though and it actually went great. I made it 2.1 miles in 20 minutes and was tired by the end, but…

Sorry you had a bad morning yesterday :/ hope you're doing better today!

I just did w5d2 tonight too, it actually went pretty well, but I was definitely worn out by the end of the second run. I contemplated doing d2 again, but I think most of my hesitation about trying d3 is mental not physical. So... I'm going to give it a try! Worst case scenario I'll take a walk break at some point and try…

I'd be happy to bug you when you aren't logging on! I almost sent you a message a few times, but I didn't want to be annoying :)

I focus more on my weekly average. It gives me more flexibility to enjoy a dinner out with friends or something, I know if I go over calories on one day I'll make it up on the other days. I just make sure my weekly average stays below my daily goal. To me it feels more much sustainable and less restricting to have some…

That sounds really good! Here's the link to my favorite crockpot soup- http://anniescookinglab.com/2012/01/29/tomato-basil-parmesan-soup/ it's a tomato basil soup and it's not only really tasty, but super creamy and filling. I calculated it out to about 266 calories per serving, so it's healthy too!

I've had two surgeries on my ankle and have quite a few screws in there holding things together. I also broke my big toe a while ago and it doesn't really bend anymore (it will a little bit, but it hurts!). Anyway, my ankle does bother me some- it was worse the first few weeks and now it's getting better. Good shoes made a…

I did the program through week 8 a year ago and lost about 5 pounds- but, I didn't really change my eating habits, so I'm sure that contributed to my lack of weight loss! Even though I didn't lose a ton of weight that time around, I did notice that I was significantly more toned in my legs and just felt better overall. I…

I've been logging my walking and running minutes separately. I run on a track so I know my pace (10 min/mile) which helps

Yep, that's pretty much what's in my soup minus the meat! I added some green onions too! It's super yummy, but higher in calories than I'd like :/
-
I just made another soup tonight- baked potato soup :P not quite as healthy as the French Onion, but I used non-fat milk and things to make it a little healthier. It's SO filling and yummy! If you were close by I'd totally share with you!

I'm 5'7", right now I weight 161. My current goal is 145, I figure I'd like to end up somewhere between 135-145, I'll evaluate how I'm feeling/looking once I get a little closer!
-
I had the same thing happen. I'm only guessing, but I think it's because having me lose more than 1.4 lbs/week would mean I'd go below 1200 calories/day which is the minimum they recommend.

My French Onion turned out sooo good! The only downside is that it's not very filling. If you like soup, I made this one last week and it was insanely good and filling! Plus it's pretty healthy and low cal too. I don't remember exactly, but I think it worked out to about 250 cals per serving.…

I've love to be friends with people too! I just sent out some requests and hit the limit of how many I can do in 10 minutes, I'll try and remember to come do more in a little while!

I am literally exactly the same lol 24 years old, just a smidge under 5'8" and weighed in at 161 this morning! Right now I'm shooting to get to 145, but I might amend that to 140 once I get there! :)
-
I'm impressed by all the fruits and veggies you have! I need to get some more at the grocery this weekend too. Tonight I'm making French Onion Soup which I'm SUPER excited out. My onions have been cooking in the crock-pot for the last couple hours and they smell amazing!

I haven't measured myself (that sounds depressing!) Starting weight: 165 Current weight: 162 Goal weight: 145 (maybe 140... we'll see!)

Hello! I'm Lone on COTH, I mostly lurk on there. I'm 24 and in grad school. I'm 5'7", my highest weight was 170 which was about 2 years ago I lost 15 pounds and then slowly got back up to 165 over the last year. I'm hoping to get down to about 140-145 by this summer. Good luck to everyone :)
