My 79 year old father is is the healthiest fat person I have ever seen. He has low blood pressure. Of course there are parts of his body that hurt him with the excessive weight, but no heart trouble, stroke or other issues. Knock on wood.

Add me in. About to turn 50. A year and a half ago I lost over 40 pounds using MFP and my FitBit and have gone back to square one. I started exercising again however it's harder this time around. Anyone here feel free to add me as your friend, I need the support of those in the same boat.

I am 49 and have been doing it for 2 weeks now. I am modified. I look at at as baby steps--building my strength so that I can get better and better. I have 40+ pounds to lose. 25 minutes is perfect for me right now and it's actually very do-able.

I agree the vanilla flavor is hideous. The only thing I have found makes it tolerable is to add frozen blueberries, a little lemon juice and a small tad of frozen pineapple. Interesting thread. I broke out with an itchy hive red rash only on my inner lower thighs--except it didn't happen until I woke up one morning and there they were. It's gone now, but it certainly explains a lot.
