  • That's great! :drinker: :drinker: Jeans drive me crazy. I have a 16 I cannot zip up, a couple of 12's that I love to wear, and I tried on a 14 I had this morning and they fit. That is why I hate shopping for clothes!
  • I think the article is somewhat misleading in stating that it is Weight Watcher's stamp of approval. It is more like Weight Watcher's saying if you are going to eat this, it is worth this many points. I don't do Weight Watchers but if I only had 18 points for the whole day, it would make me think if it was worth 6.5 points…
  • March 1st weight 181 March 5th weight 178 Weight is such a deceptive thing. I admit to being a daily weigher. I saw 176.6 one day this week (Wed) and then my weight went up a little each day! I know it is water weight because I know I have been eating well and exercising. I am more intrigued by the way weight goes up and…
  • I don't think there is such a thing as too much exercise. I know people who run every day. It's good for them. I workout at least 2 hours a day. I lift 2-4 times a week. I want to keep muscle as I am trying to lose and only burn fat! It is true as you become more fit you'll burn less for the same activity. As you lose…
  • Never had this food but it sounds good! When I look at something like this I start thinking how much extra exercise it would take to burn off those calories. If you really can't avoid the temptation order it with a friend and eat only half. It is still 700 calories but not quite as much damage as the 1400. I personally…

  • Welcome to the group! We weigh in on the first of the month and then every Friday just to keep us on track!
  • I bought the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt on Saturday and finally did the whole thing this morning. 53 minutes and 367 calories. I think this is my new weight training program.
  •  I kind of do the same when I make the kids lunches I always make sure to leave a little extra peanut butter on the spatuala and then I lick it off.....yum!
  • Good morning all! Welcome all the newcomers to our challenge. I got on the treadmill this morning and walked a 5k (3.1 miles) before my first daycare kids arrived. It sounds like it is going to be a great day outside (in the 30's) I may bundle up the kiddies and put them in the stroller (I have a great stroller that I can…
  • I hope you feel better after a good night's sleep. I just read something yesterday about popcorn. The following quote is from this month's Shape Magazine "You probably don't think of your afternoon bag of popcorn as a superfood, but you should. A recent study from the University of Scranton found that the snack contains up…
  • I am having one of those days where I am blowing it I know it and feel a bit out of control! The 3-two-year-old boys that I take care of are having one of those days where they are battling for every toy, everything I say not to do they do and the almost 4-year old girl I take care of instigating by telling them to break…
  • I can avoid buying then because I never carry cash or my checkbook.....they don't take credit cards!:drinker:
  • Scales can work fairly well or be all over the place. My scale (not sure how exact it is) but it gives me the same number to a tenth. I can move it around and step on it and it still gives me the same weight. I do not expect it to give me the same weight that I get at the doctor. When I weigh at home it is first thing in…
  • You pick yourself up and get right back on track! One of the weight loss books I read recently (I have read quite a few to stay motivated) said one of things that success full dieters have in common is that when they make mistakes, they get right back on track as fast as possible. They do not have the "Ok I failed. I am a…

  • It could also just be your muscles adjusting to new exercises. Even with walking you need to make sure and stretch after a walk to maintain flexibility. See a doctor if it does not go away, but my hip muscles can be sore if I change up my workout routine. Ice and heat and Ibuprofen will help if it is muscle pain! Keep…

  • Its and indoor pool and thank goodness since I live in Minnesota and the high here today was 38 degrees F. I have a treadmill so I can walk indoors. I have lived in Minnesota my whole life and I absolutely hate being outside when the temp is below 15 degrees. So I spend a lot of time inside in the winter. Spring is…
  • Ireed, Have a great time at Disneyland! It sounds like a wonderful place. I tried a mile on the treadmill today and then walked another 4miles. We will see how the neck feels tomorrow! We are planning to go swimming this afternoon! Have a great day!
  • I don't consider any food bad. Everything in moderation! I look at something and think about how many calories it will have and how many minutes I will have to spend on the treadmill and bike to burn that many calories. Most days I don't have an extra hour or two to exercise so that keeps me from eating something really…
  • My son would had a Hulk costume he wore all the time. He could only wear it at home after while because it got so worn that his but cheeks were hanging out! Chicken nuggets for breakfast! forgetting to buckle carseats! letting them crawl in my bed and then I go sleep in their bed!
  • 100 minutes of jogging without stopping.....you are incredible. I am so jealous! I want to be a jogger so bad but it bothers my neck problem! I am so proud of you for being able to do that! Keep up the great work!:drinker: :drinker: :flowerforyou:
  • Hi Jen, You can make it! Welcome to our group!
  • I just read a book that had some similar ideas, but it was more about post- workout than pre-workout. There were recipes in the book for what the author called "anebolic" drinks for post-workout. What is wrong with this? I like to hear different opinions.
  • Way to go reaching your goal! I was thinking about trying the Biggest Lose Sculp dvd. Anyone ever do this workout? Have a great Night!
  • Welcome to our group! You are doing awesome! Whatever you are doing keep it up!
  • WOW! Way to go! I am so happy for you!:drinker: :flowerforyou:
