I swear by the FODMAP diet. everything seems to upset my stomach, and this has really REALLY helped me. just google the FODMAP diet. even my GI doctor recommended this to me.

I have found that the problem with trying to find sugar supplements (or rather, something to tame my sweet tooth, in place of sugar) is it just perpetuates the craving and keeps my body JUST BARELY having enough instead of making the craving go away. I don't know if it's a matter of success story or not; I think it's just the way our bodies are built. I've never been truly too much overweight. here here! i think much more highly of people who have bigger goals for themselves. seeing everyone at the gym focused on their goals motivates me more to think about what i want to accomplish that day, and in life... i couldn't care less what anyone looks like.

I never believe it when people tell me I'm probably just thirsty... because "no, i really truly do feel HUNGRY!!!" but sure enough, if I gulp two glasses of water, I'm set. (or if I do eat something, I really can't fit much in).

haha! i know ive gained weight when my husband likes my breasts. he goes "oh you look so good lately" translation: "you've gained weight, but i dont notice because all i'm staring at is your tits"

that's a great way to think about it! i'm going to start calling these last 8 my buffer zone! maybe if i can get into i won't be so stressed out, and just into panic mode if/when i gain 2 or 3!

I buy these dried Kopali Oragnics mango strips from whole foods. they don't have any other ingredients besides mango. they taste like a better healthier version of a fruit roll-up or something similar.the whole bag is 135 calories. they're delicious; i wish i had some on me right now :)

While I don't have a SOLUTION for the gross foods that are served in the dorms... this is what worked for me when I was in college (I have gained weight since then when I went from being in college to sitting at a desk).... Drink a huge gulp of water between every bite. that way you won't eat as much of the gross foods.…

I can't run as far if I eat before my workout. I get cramps and feel blah. I eat after and it's fine. sometimes if I'm starving I'll grab a mouthfull of natural reduced fat peanut butter, or 1/4 of an apple.

I did the same thing last night. I only wanted 1... but no one was around... I couldn't stop. Before I knew what was happening, half of them were gone. I was supposed to work out when I got home yesterday, and said... I'm tired from work, I'll do it in the morning and jump start my metabolism... and just couldn't get out…

The only brand I will buy now is the Sabra brand. My husband is middle eastern, so I've become pretty darn picky when it comes to hummus. All of their flavors are terrific- This brand is the most authentic to what you will find in the middle east. YUMMMMM:tongue:

It's so strange, because once I actually am up (about 8 minutes after I finally let my feet hit the floor), you'd think I just downed a gallon of coffee. The afternoon is when I need toothpicks to keep my eyes open. lol

Roxie is right! I've been running and saw no results on my stomach... i got in the pool to swim some laps (only about 20 minutes a day) and my tummy got flatter!
