  • Thanks for the congrats!! Trina, LOL, don't worry, I'm female. :) It really is back fat fat. I mean I've got that lovely side and back boob going on. And you can still see that without a bra on. In addition to another lump below that.
  • Check out inspiralized.com. The writer prefers the Paderno World Cuisine A4982799 Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer. I have Kitchen Basics Tri-Blade Spiralizer Vegetable Slicer. It's a countertop unit. I'd definitely suggest that over handheld devices. You can slice more with it. Some items are harder to push…
  • I've been advised not to let juice sit for over 12-15 hours, even if refrigerated.
  • Check out onegreenplanet.org for some good recipes. We've been vegetarian for a few years but just went vegan for Veganuary. I was always addicted to cheese but after trying all of the dairy-free alternatives, I'm just doing without. For ice cream, I used to eat tofutti cuties, but I've not since going vegan. They're good…
  • I am SO GLAD I saw this!!! Before our wedding I found challenges, which definitely kept me going. Once the celebrations were over, I logged back in and all the challenges were over. I used that as my excuse to stop caring as much. I am back on track, after regaining TOO MUCH in the last two months. Thank you for running…
  • Take what you want, leave the rest. If it's not for you, move on. Peace.
  • I watched FSND after watching Hungry for Change. I think that Hungry for Change made more sense, for me. The guy in FSND was in it, and he wasn't pushing for juicing as a way to live. Like someone said above, juicing a way to get great portions of veggies/fruits that you might not get elsewhere. And for me, I will throw…
  • I used to be 5'10" but seem to have shrunk thanks to the last 2 car accidents. Working on posture and core muscles to get back there. And thanks again to those accidents, I've packed on a ton. Started MFP a few months ago at 308. Down to 285 so far, working towards 163 lb. Feel free to add me.
  • Wow, congrats!! You look great! Awesome!!
  • Great job, congrats!!
  • Add away!! What kind of foods do you like? I'm happy to share some delish recipes!
  • False: http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/aspartame.asp This has been circulating for 15 years. Also, the 'facts' are incorrect. Diet Coke hasn't used aspartame in years. And, granted, Splenda is just as synthetic as the others, it does not contain aspartame. However, Splenda's not mentioned once in this rant, so there's…
  • Honestly, I did not read all the responses, but I've been hiding onions and mushrooms IN.EVERY.LUNCH/DINNER for the past 6 years for the skids. Cauliflower in mac and cheese Squash, real tomatoes in spaghetti sauce Anything pureed in homemade pizza (in the sauce, covered in cheese) Anything in lasagne, manacotti, stuffed…

  • Feel free to add me. I have been leaning towards pescatarian (I think that's right) for years. I have fish, maybe, once a month. I crumble (as I hang my head in shame) maybe 3x per year and have chicken. I know I cannot declare myself a pure vegetarian, but i am really working on it. I would like to find friends who can…
  • I'm in PA too. Can I be your co-star when I reach goal? LOL. We've got this!! Anyone can feel free to add me. I'm not giving up!
  • I'm 40 and looking for the same loss. Any of you can feel free to add me. I'll always try to help, support, motivate, comfort, scold (haha). We already made the first step by coming here. We can do this!!!
  • I think there are 4 people here close enough so I'll send messages. But here are my stats in case I've missed someone: 40 years old 5'9" female SW: 307 CW: 291 GW: 163

  • A few years ago I went to an animal conference. I thought that it would be about puppies and kittens. I was so far off track, and blown away by what I saw. Day 1 taught me about health issues associated with eating meat - hormones, antibiotics, etc. I was disgusted. Day 2 taught me about the cruelty side of it. That was…

  • mdb543, I've just started portion control. I'm a vege, but I do eat fish. My downfalls are cheese and rum. Aside from portions, I'm trying to cut back cheese and drinks, increase water and MOVE! :)
  • What's one thing that you're going to focus on today? I'm going to drink at least 8 glasses of water. I've calculated that to be 3 pitchers. I hope to be done with them before I leave work! NEXT! :)
  • Just turned 40 and got married in the last 2 weeks. It is time to start new in life. Happy to help out any way that I can. Looking for some support here too. We can do this! ETA: Anyone else can feel free to add me too!
  • Can I jump in here too? I would like to lose a total of 144 lbs. So far, I'm down 4. I just eloped and would like to set my first major goal for 35 lbs by March 29, 2013, for our wedding celebration party-pseudo 'reception'. I definitely need some help motivating myself! What advice would you give to really kick it into…
