I'm a vegan mom raising a vegan toddler. Been vegan for almost six years. Looking for recipes, motivation, decrease in weight, and friends.

When I watch the workout shows, it pisses me off. Some of it is unrealistic and puts false hope in us we can do it. I do dig Jillian Michaels because she programs are 30 minutes and designed to be achievable. I usually just turn the channel away from it.

Sample day (I'm vegan FYI) 7a Breakfast: Ezekiel English muffin with almond butter (250 cals) 11:30a Lunch: salad with tempeh tuna salad (400 cals) 330-4p Snack, the struggle: nuts/fruit (150-200 cals) 630-7p Dinner: tofu, veggies, quinoa (400 cals) The snack is the killer. If I'm very hungry, I will over eat. Then dinner…

Thanks for the tips. 7a breakfast 11:30a lunch 330-4 snack 630/7 dinner The tough part is the snack. I either skip it or eat something and can't feel full. Just thinking of different ideas. Struggle is real!

Over the weekend I will make a chart that lists the days Monday - Friday. I then write next to each day breakfast, lunch, snack - then I fill in what I'll eat on each day for each meal. Example: Monday: breakfast, Ezekiel English muffin with almond butter (250 calories). Lunch, hummus wrap with veggies (400 cals). Snack:…

Really awesome ideas. I wrote little prizes on a note, folded it, and put it in a jar. I'll pick one for each pound lost so it's a surprise. Some examples: new lipgloss, new book, flowers, new sandals, etc. For milestones: 5, 10, 15, 20 - I am doing a massage, facial, and for my goal of 20, my husband will plan a date…

You should eat at your BMR according to "Eat More Weight Less" groups. However, after reviewing your diary, you really need to consider changing what you eat. You eat a ton of processed foods. Where is the water, fruits, and veggies? You eat processed garbage that is horrible for your health. No wonder the weight isn't…

I always bring a vegan dish with me when I go to someone's house. I find it's polite and people can taste how delicious vegan food is. It's a great way to introduce people to vegan food, gives you something to eat, and it's kind to bring something.

My bodybugg says bodymedia on it. Made by the same company, so whichever you choose, does the same thing, that is the important thing! You will love it.

How much are you eating a day? Just curious. I recently upped my calories and I'm still nervous but still trying to eat more.

Thank you so much for posting how you are annoyed. I am feeling the same way. I don't even know what to do. I am so frustrated, confused, that I'm just as a stand still. I eat healthy and exercise, but all the numbers are confusing me. And on top of that, the scale isn't moving. I just don't want to diet or worry about…

Thank you all for your words, I really needed to hear it! I don't know why "eating more" seems so "scary" - I definitely will do it. I have a bodybugg and it says to eat 2000 calories a day and burn a total of 2500 calories day to lose 1lb a week (and if I burn more than 2500, I need to eat more). Are you kidding me? Eat…

Wow! I can see a difference. Great job!

Dr Oz said to get the Green Coffee Bean CAPSULES with no fillers. You take a 400mg before breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a glass of water.

Dear 16 year old, Stop worrying about the future, it all ends up working out. You are beautiful and will become skinny, so stop weighing yourself. You will get everything you ever wanted, just believe.

Your first mistake is weighing yourself after the gym. Your muscles swell so there is the extra weight, which really isn't fat gain. I also suggest you read into this: (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/512956-tdee-what-is-it-and-why-you-should-not-eat-below-your-bmr) to find out extra how much you should be eating.…

Thank you for your response. Strange/scary to think I have to eat 1970. I'm used to eating much less to "lose" - but apparently that's not working. I appreciate your advice and will do it!

The math is correct. According to my bodybugg, I burn 2050 if I watch tv (I went back and checked the data on days I really did just read/study/watch tv with NO exercise). With exercise moderately, my TDEE is 2450 (I used a TDEE calculator and did reflect on my bodybugg data). My BMR is 1585 according to fitness frog.…
