  • Wow! Congrats on sticking with it. I looked at the first photo and said...I know she's gonna look HOT with 84lbs gone...then I scrolled down and thought of a phrase from Ironman 2...."I want one".
  • I created a theory for myself for long exercise events. I do a lot of bike rides that last 3-4 hours. Usually I'm not supplying my body with enough energy to keep up with the calories burned during the ride. So my theory is that after the first 45min to an hour my body has used up the stored glycogen in the muscles and I'm…
  • Well I'll say this. I lost around 50 lbs when I was 40 and kept the weight off for 2 years until I started playing Lord of the Rings Online. I had gotten really into cycling and that's what help me keep my weight off but after getting addicted to LOTRO I would stay up late Friday night and be too tired to get up for my…

  • You can't substitute normal calories with "beer calories" 1:1. The problem is not the calories from the beer but the fact that your body places a higher priority on metabolizing the alcohol so it basically shuts down your normal carb/fat burning while its getting rid of the alcohol. I love having a beer like everyone else…
  • I'm not even on a low carb diet and I saw a big drop the first week. We all know it's mainly water if we've done this before. As an engineer I like to throw math at them. "Oh really, you lost 4 pounds in 2 days. Well you know it's gotta be mainly water because you need to burn 3,600 calories to lose a pound of fat so you…
