  • Sometimes being sick of the way things are is the motivation that we need to change! You can do it!

  • Can't do it because my left side is paralyzed. I may be abkle to do the legs eventually but not the kleft arm.
  • Mine was eight days after 12 weeks on - 3 days at TDEE, 4 days on vacation untracked & one more day at TDEE before going back to cut! I gained 1-2.4 pounds. Not as bad as I thought. Waiting about 8 weeks until my birthday week for the next one! Then Thanksgiving is about 8 weeks later!
  • . MFP is one big argument half of the time...lol [/quote] true that!
  • I get the double chocolate at the grocery store. but I just ordered the chocolare sampler from the website- can't wait until it comes! Yum!
  • Excellent!
  • I heard a story on NPR back a few weeks that they had found another Mayan calendar that disproves the doomsday theory!
  • Twice the past week when putting his harnd on my back while helpiing me into the car, my husband has said-" I can really tell that you are losing" & "Your body seems to be reshaping itself" The scale has been evil this month so I really needed that! Way to go!
  • I had a similar dilemna once. My husband had a work dinner out and I could see the menu online. I had narrowed it down to a salad or some type of chicken entree. Salads are great until the dressing. That can be a nightmare! So I decided - if they had a low cal - low fat or fat free dressing I would get the salad. If not,…
  • April 23rd 9.5 lbs so about 12 weeks tomorrow. Rest was the 1300 calorie way since Jan 1.
  • Sure ( as long as you are not drooling)- it will probably make her day!
  • I had the urge the other night. I made a conscious effort to eat the 300 calorie between my cut & TDEE since I did feel hungry. Normally I would get out the ice cream and a spoon so this was progress! Maybe try to eat extra food if you feel compelled to eat but up to TDEE then set a break. If after 30 mins or an hour, you…

  • i somehow read over the paqrt about the break i am on week 10 of TDEE-15% and stalling out so I think doing it back at week 6 would have probably been a good idea. Going on vacation this week so will start then!
  • Hi - I started at 235 back in January - my loss has been about a pound a week and yes I get frustrated! So I am planning for a long haul! 7 montghs & 33 pounds. 1) Mini goals such as: under 200 Overweight instead of obese etc! 2) I friended someone who is my height & starting weight and is now smoking hot & 2 pounds under…
  • Did I fricking need that today? Actually people tell me that I am too big - do I really need a calculator to tell me too? Glad for you if if shows that you are is lower than most of ladies in your age range - but not helpful to the rest of us!
  • The EM2WL moderators are pretty honest about saying that if your goal is quick and specific like for a wedding, then it may not be the diet for you! If the goal is to keep it off for a lifetime, then maybe try EM2WL. Try is the optimal word- don't come down on it too hard without first trying it, Very low calorie diets do…
  • I would totally do the yogurt !
  • I started at 235 and people who I had not seen in a while noticed around 30 pounds down.
  • Another one comes to the dark side! Yeah - good for you for taking the leap!
  • I am 44 years old & disabled and cannot exercise (even walking two blocks is a major accomplishments). I have lost 9.5 pounds in about 10 weeks on EM2WL with no exercise by eating beteen BMR &TDEE, In 10 weeks I have maybe been below BMR 3 or 4 times but try to eat at cut every day. I did go up a pound or 2 in the…
  • Scooby hasTDEE at 2079 BMR at 1512 and TDEE-15% as 1767. If your BMF has your real TDEE at 2250, your BMR is 1683. So never eat below 1683 and aim for (TDEE-15% )1912. Eat back exercise only if it takes you below 1683 or BMR.
  • Sorry - I cannot even understand what you are asking. I use scooby calorie calculator so if my activity level changes, my TDEE changes. I have read that you should aim for consistency. You figure one TDEE that encompasses all of your exercise for the week so you do not vary it daily. I would see how the BMF compares to…
  • I thought the TDEE break that you mentioned in another thread may be the ticket for you. What date did you start the cut? I understand why slow is better but I go nuts when I see success stories that have lost twice as much weight as I have, in the same or less time. I have to stop reading them because the result is too…

  • I have been on about 10 weeks and weigh loss has slowed so plan a break for 9 days from now when I am on vacation. So good to hear that it went well. I was debating about 1 week or two - you did two huh?
  • I don't know what you would set your exercise level at but if it is moderate 3-5 hours per week than the scooby calculator puts you at bmr of 1628 and tdee of 2539. With a 15% cut that puts you at 2158 or 20% cut at 2031 so that means you should always eat at least 1628. Check out the Eat More To Weigh Less Group. It is…
  • Check out the Eat More To Weigh Less board - a lot of people have found that upping their calories works when they are stalled.
  • This gives me hope - thanks!
  • I agree I am 44 and sendentary and I eat 1650. Use the scooby calculator http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ to calculate your bmr & tdee-15%. 1500 seems low too.
  • Hi I had a stroke so I cannot really exercise at all.I have done EM2WL for about 10 weeks and lost 9.5 pounds after a slight initial gain. Hang in there! You can do it!
  • Hi I have autoimmune hepatitis (that is treated and under control) and had a stroke 2 1/2 years ago so I understand dealing with challenges with health. I wasn't ready to address my weight until Jan 2012 so I agree with getting yourself sorted first. I am losing weight through diet alone. It can be done! Hang in there!…
