Oh food! My favorite subject!! All of the above posts are great. To add to that, I suggest using Mark Sisson’s idea of the BIG *kitten* salad in the fridge. I make up a giant salad, bought a special bowl for it with a tight fitting lid, and we eat on it all week. Here is a post I did on it.…

da dum dump. (Drum beat after a stupid joke.) That is so stupid I kind of like it!

I got some good laughs out of this board! My additions are; ~ You used to be bread addict and now it tastes like cardboard and you can not figure out how you ever liked it. ~(I second) that having salad for breakfast seems perfectly normal ~Pulling off 18 hour intermittent fasts seems perfectly normal too and you do it a…

Wow, how fun to look at those two pictures of you and be totally AMAZED!!! In the "big" picture of you, I can see the sadness in your eyes and your "little" picture there is strength and confidence. What a transformation to do to yourself. Congratulations on conquering one of the hardest things to do. I totally get the…

I'm in. I've been primal for 2 years now..... on and off. My inner warrior needs a boost and the sugar queen has been ever so present! Time to run her back to the castle and close the door. Please put me in your group. My email address is zia(at)nehalemtel.net. Let's rock this! BTW here are a few tips for making it work.…

I agree with Paleo Michelle, keep your sugar carbs not your fiber carbs, below 60 grams and weight loss begins. I have to cut out sweet potatoes and nuts and eat what carbs I do before 3 pm in order to keep the weight loss going. (BTW I think it is really important to eat fruit but eat it before 3 pm and just a half of…

I too have been flagging in my resolve. I've been eating lots of sugary like substances even if "primal" approved. (I'm so good at making primal desserts!) I really have to get my game on. I think I will do Mark Sisson's 21 day transformation. it is a little more approachable and therefore attainable for me. Got.to.do.it.…

Oh and IF (intermittent fasting) Is great like you are planning on doing. A 24 hours one helped break me through my last plateau. Mike is right on with us remembering that this is a lifestyle change not a diet.

I just did this long reply and stupid MFP sent it into space. Grrrrrr. basically what I have learned is up your proteins and do not eat heavy carbs after 3 pm. Lower carbs to 50 and calories to 1400. You should see some change. But I hear you about plateaus! I'm on one now. I need to lose just.tow.more.pounds. till my knee…

I too love it on apple slices and bricks. (Oh, whoops, don't tell anybody about the brick part..okay?) Anyways I love almond butter. One of my favorite things to do with it is drop a tablespoon or so in my protein smoothies. yum.

Wow, you are a true inspiration to me! Thank you so much for sharing your story. What advise do you give on kettlebells? I'm interested in starting to work with them. Keep up the good work!
