  • Wow. I was just looking at Walmart, which is selling the bottles at ~$22.00
  • Air-popped popcorn is great for this. Greek yogurt is good and filling too.
  • I'm not trying to be rude, but couldn't you just take a multivitamin and have a coffee and save a lot of money? What other benefit does this supposedly give you?
  • Maybe have a small snack to tide you over, then dinner? Sounds like you have plenty of calories to play with.

  • I don't think I've ever tried garlic in eggs. Sounds good!
  • Isn't it that if you eat right at your BMR (plus any activity calories) you maintain your weight? There needs to be a deficit in there to lose weight.

  • I'd never heard of them, but now I want to try a dressing (they're so expensive though!). I can ruin a salad with dressing, haha, so if any of these actually taste okay I'm definitely down. Doesn't sound promising taste-wise though so far.
  • I've got a Lane Bryant one, I don't run but I think it would work well as far as keeping them controlled goes. I got it on sale, though, LB's too expensive for me otherwise!
  • That's an insane amount of floors climbed. Mine doesn't track that though so maybe I just don't know what's normal for floors haha.
  • I weigh daily because I like to chart it. I like watching the ups and downs because I can see that over all I'm on a downward trend and the ups are probably things like water retention. I really like charts though, haha.
  • Are you thirsty? Is your urine super dark? If the answers are "no," don't worry about it. You get water from your food, which a lot of people don't realize is pretty much enough to sustain you. Plus, that Vitamin Water counts. Coffee counts. Tea counts. Etc. I'll try to find the link to my source later, but it's really not…

  • Personally, if I walked that much and ate that little I'd be starving at the end of the day. I eat back most of my Fitbit calories depending on how hungry I am. If you've entered your loss rate (2lb/wk, 1lb/wk, etc) into both MFP and Fitbit then you should be able to eat your exercise calories and still lose weight. Some…
  • I like one of Lane Bryant's sports bras, but that's all I've tried from them so far. I got some fleece leggings from Target (Cuddl brand or something similar) to wear under my normal walking pants, which I think are C9 brand yoga pants, also from Target. Those keep me pretty warm together, though it hasn't gotten lower…
  • You never HAVE to eat the exercise calories. Some people suggest only eating half back anyway just in case of over-estimations. Fitbit is generally considered pretty accurate, as far as I've heard, though. I just walk, and I've found Fitbit's estimation fairly accurate there myself, so I eat them all back usually, or…
  • I look at how many calories I burn per day, including any exercise, and subtract a deficit in order to lose weight. There's no magic solution, you just have to eat less than you burn. If someone loses weight just eating low carb/fat/pickles, then they ate fewer calories than they burned. That's really it.
  • Having the 10k step goal gets me out of the apartment when otherwise I would just be on my computer all day to avoid thinking about things. I listen to a podcast while I walk if I want to avoid wandering thoughts. Overall, though, for me it's still another motion to go through. Your mind does adapt to the trauma, you won't…
  • I'm just getting back to 10k a day so I won't be much of a challenge, but I'd love more friends on there
  • I do the same thing! Sometimes I just don't stop and end up eating the whole pint of ice cream, so I log 1 serving and log the other 3 over the next 3 days. It all evens out. Or, take a long walk, or a couple of long walks over the next few days to equal the calories you overate, but don't eat them back. Same thing. OR,…
  • Seems like a scam to me. They don't really explain why their product is supposedly absorbed better than normal vitamin supplements, and the doctor who created it, in my opinion, doesn't seem to be actually qualified for this type of work. He's got two degrees that he touts even though they don't really apply (a BS and a…
  • So it sounds like it'll at least guess, which is good enough for me! Thanks
  • Just the Zip, so no HR, but thanks! Awesome, thanks!
  • It's been over 10 years it sounds like, so you probably already know this, but some thyroid medicines need to be taken with several "rules" adhered to. I take levo, and I have to make sure I'm taking it at the same time every morning, empty stomach, don't eat for an hour, don't eat certain things (like soy) for a certain…
  • I like Fitbit for exactly this reason; the calorie burns are more accurate. Many times you'll see people recommend the Fitbit entries because they're much more accurate than, say, an exercise bike's built in calculator. I generally trust my Fitbit's estimation and eat them all back, whereas any other source I'd likely…
  • Also: "If you think vaccines cause autism you are expressing something factually wrong, not an opinion. The fact that you may still believe that vaccines cause autism does not move your misconception into the realm of valid opinion."…
  • For snacking it's really helpful for me to have everything in single-serve sizes. So if you have to have Cheezits or something, separate it into single serving baggies so it's easy to grab one, eat it, and log it. Popcorn, when air popped, is great for snacking because it makes so much volume but has fewer calories than…
  • Oh, okay, it's your opinion. Sorry. I was going off of facts like an educated human being, but of course, you're the grown up.
  • If you have a smart phone, try turning on the pedometer one day if it has one. With five kids, I bet you're already walking a ton, and if it's more than you've already estimated you've got extra burn there already!
  • Overnight oats with protein powder (along with whatever else you'd like to put in it) is super filling for a good while. A ton of people seem to like it, and it was very easy to make, however I really didn't like the taste of it cold. I'm sure you could heat it up, though. Another good one (for me, at least) is two eggs…
  • Guess what? "True vegetarians" can absolutely eat cheese and junk food and still be "true vegetarians." A "true vegetarian" simply doesn't eat meat. Period. Nowhere in the definition of vegetarianism does it say you have to also "know how to cook and [know] about nutrition." I'm pretty sure at this point you're just trying…
