Watch the documentary "Fat Head". That guy eats nothing but fast food for weeks and he loses weight. Is it a good idea? Probably not, but like others have said, calories in versus calories out!

Sometimes, if I'm super consistent about my diet/exercise, I'm able to hit that number. Honestly, I don't give it too much attention. I look at it as more of a motivator than anything else. It's nice to think that I could be 8 lbs lighter in 5 weeks, or whatever! Haha.

Those shakes are the equivalent to Slim-fast, right? If so, Slim-fast says you should be eating minimum 1200 calories a day.
