What great work. Losing 200 pounds is a fantastic acheivement. I know you have a way to go but I hope you celebrated the lost 200. I am happy to be in your support network on MFP. Add if you like. I am from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

I agree. It is only one step at a time. Its your life, your the only person that can take control of it. Just remember, have fun while you doing it and you find you loose it more quickly. Laughter burns a lot of calories. If you want to add me as a friend for Support, just add me.

I agree with Nikiliss. I was in the same boat as you until 11/04/2013 when I found out I was Gluten, lactose and Casein intolerant. I changed my diet and lost 7 kilos (with exercise of course). See a Doctor or Dietician. Get tested and then go from there

A girlfriend and I brought an Polar ft4 each. We had it for 2 years and it worked well for both of us. My girlfriend got a new battery and it is still going strong. I on the other hand moved on to a Polar FT60. It has a few more features which i liked. Plus my old watch was pink and the colour had faded. So it didn't look…

I love how Americans pronounce a word differently than us, Aussies or in other countries. My favourite is - veh-i-cle. Americans pronounce the "i" like it is so important that it has to be sounded out so clearly. Every time I watch Judge Judy, I just have to laugh when that word is said. We Aussies just the word with out…

I think a lot of people are in your situation, I know I am. Getting an exercise buddy or a girlfriend will help or an MFP buddy. You can *****, whinge or complain to them and they wont mind. They will keep you honest and to keep being motivated. In regards to your boyfriend, I think it is less about your weight and more…

Hi, I wish you luck with your surgery. I know how hard it is to do the surgery and to still have problems. I had a Gastric Band surgery 5 years ago and it did not work for me. I got heavier after the surgery. I have tried all the diets out there and have been doing MFP off and on for 6 years. I have even exercised 3 times…

Hi, A month ago, I was diagnose with Wheat, gluten, dairy and soy intolerence. I also stopped having caffeine. For the first few days, I did feel lethargic. I had headaches and withdrawal symptons. I also took probiotics and B group vitamins. Within 4 days, I felt much better. Within the week, I lost a kilo and found I had…

After I have change my eating plan and already dropped 6 kilos in 4 weeks, I am really looking forward to looking good this summer. Have a great day.

Hi Alex, Feeling bad about your weight is a waste of energy that doesn't burn calories. Start thinking this is a new day and what will I acheive today. Start small, ask many questions, look at forums and you will find what works for you. We are here to help and support each other. Any one can add me as well.…

I log in after I eat. However, I have now worked out mostly what my food calorie intake for each meal and I plan my foods the day before. So in one way it is a little of both. I dont like to be rigid but if I do eat more than I should, out goes the dog and me for a little extra exercise.

I understand but mine is with my speech. Sometimes, I have difficulty speaking or communicating. So some times insensitive people tease me a little and I snap. However, later I go up to them and appologies for snapping and tell them that I am very sensitive in that area and please dont do that again. Most are fine and we…

Sorry people, but what exactly is TDEE?

Hi, First of all, I agree with most of what has been said. I also struggled and gain weight even though I was exercising regularly ( 3 to 4 gym sessions a week) and eating the correct calories. It wasn't until a month ago that I found out that I was intolerant to Dairy, wheat, gluten and soy that everything that I was…

Hi, I had something similar surgery -Gastric Band surgery - a few years ago and it didn't work. In fact, I am a lot heavier than when I had the surgery. Even though I worked out 3 to 4 times a week. In april 2013, I found out that I am lactose, gluten, wheat intolerant. Since changing this diet, I have been losing wait.…

Ditto for me. Im Australian, would love to have more friends from around the world. It is interesting seeing different names for different items. For example, Corn Flour is Maize in some countries. And how we communicate slightly differently and have different ways of doing the same thing. Plus when I see someone put a…

Hi all, Thanks for all your comments. I will look into CandiZyme. In Australia - A nutritionist and dietician both need University qualifications but their roles slightly differ. There is a machine that messages your tolerance just my touching it on your skin. It is called Bioenergetic Testing. However, I am not really…

If I was in that situation, I would not keep her because it would be unfair to her, to my partner and to myself. The way you described she is may be in an unhappy situation and she is longing for what may have been with your partner. So by unfriending her, she has less access to these images and then she may be able to…

Hi, I understand what Savageman69 is saying and most of what he says is true. However, he was quite rude. We are not all like this, Ubbergirl. In regards to your questions, I have done a little research as I cant take whey or soy products either. The answer is no there is no shakes that we can have. There are some really…

Hi all, My sister and I had the sugery several years ago. I am now heavier than what I was and my sister had to have hers removed because of complications. I think they do work for certain people whose addictions is savory. Or for people that can eat soup, all day long. However, since my addiction is sweet, I would eat a…

I pulled my ham string in November. Still exercise as normal for a couple of weeks and then bam, I couldn't walk and was on crutches. It took me a good 3 months of Physio before I could walk without pain and then another 3 months before I could get back into normal exercise. So my advise is stop exercising for a week or…

I am the same. I had to build up too. One of the things I did was to break it up. 2*15 mins. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon unitil i could do a full 30 mins morning and afternoon. I then built on that. Some people told me I was nuts and that does not work. It worked for me. So its what ever feels right for…

Hi Maria, :flowerforyou: I joined approximately a month ago. Before I joined I struggled with losing weight for years, never getting anywhere. I joined all kinds a programs but nothing worked. Since I have joined, I have lost over 5 kilos (please dont ask me how many pounds that is). I think the main reasons were - I have…
