May as well bump it again. Thanks for posting!

I know your thread title says, "Without Equipment", but I use one very easy and inexpensive piece of equipment - a kettlebell. I can use it for all the strength training moves and it makes you become the machine. I use KettleWorx DVDs and I started out with a 5 lb. KB. I have since moved up to a 7 lb., and now on a 10 lb.…

The companion book "Eating For Life" is equally awesome. Great recipes and pictures to help. I really need to get back to following that.........

For me it was lots of stretching, yoga, and working on balance/core. It took a loooong time, but today I am almost pain free.

If I could afford it and avoid huge levels of mercury in my body, I would eat it five times a week!

My daughter loves hummus and whole wheat flat bread.

Take a look at my stats and you will see that I could possibly be the s-l-o-w-w-w-est loser here. I take consolation in the fact that I have not gained it back. For a person who lost and gained the same 20-30 lbs. over a very long period (maybe 10 years or so) that is a victory for me. I had lost 20 lbs. before finding…

I teach K-6 Music at two different schools (thank you, budget cuts!), so I see 1,400 students. I'm using the summer to destress.

Congratulations! You have done a great job, and it shows!

I've been through the Prep and regular schedule. I say start with Fire 30. If you have any problems getting through that one, I suggest beginning with the Prep schedule, or at least start at Prep Week 3. Happy Turbo-ing!

Glad you like it so far! I've completed the whole schedule. Now I'm doing a TF/KettleWorx hybrid to get some better weight training in. I have to say TF had to grow on me, but now I am pretty good at it and I like it. Friend me if you would like, feel free to ask any questions you want!

I have done at least three 6 week rounds - one at 5 lbs., one at 7 lbs. and one at 10 lbs. I was also doing Zumba as my cardio, but it wasn't until I started adding the KW that people would notice. Three weeks in and I heard, "HOW much WEIGHT have you LOST?" I was never sore with KW, but I started with a low weight and…

My only tip is to keep trying. I found myself getting frustrated by the moves. Every week I would get better. Now there is not a lot that I can't do. I done one full round, now I'm doing a TF/KettleWorx hyrid of my own. Good luck, you will be fine!

I tried that long ago with no results, but I'm glad it works for you! The only thing that ever helped me was boatloads of ibuprofen. The day I went on the Pill was a great day for me!
-
Absolutely! And I will add Jennifer Connelly.
-
OMG, you are a genius! On my grocery list! Is it regular or Greek?

I had to stop at about day 13 due to knee and hip problems. I just completed 12 weeks of TurboFire with no problems. I also use KettleWorx with a 10 lb. kettlebell. Hope this is helpful!

Even worse.........cake batter ice cream, mmmmmm...... <sigh>

I like Clif bars - Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate Almond Fudge are two of my favorite flavors. They also have a Toffee flavor with added caffeine for a pick-me-up, although I don't like it as well. Karr's makes a Wasabi Nut Crunch mix that is really good, if you like wasabi flavor. Triscuits in the Cracked Black Pepper…

I was going to suggest that you buy a pair of cowboy boots............

Oh, thank God, because I want to be 25 again. Edit to add: Forgot to say I'm 42. I've been on MFP for awhile, and honestly I have to say I feel and look better now than when I was 38 or 39. I hope that continues!
-
OMG does that take me back! I wore that song out in HS!

Size 10 or 12 women are considered plus size models! Don't beat yourself up, be proud of your accomplishment! You are going to look better than if you had not lost anything. Size does not matter, it is how you feel that matters. Congratulations on your weight loss! :flowerforyou:

I heard a comedienne say once (cannot remember who it was) say, "Never ask any woman if she is pregnant unless you see a baby coming out of her!" That is very good advice!

Another Kettlebell fan here - I use Kettleworx, too! I am currently doing a KW/TurboFire hybrid. I'm contemplating on moving on to ChaLean Extreme.

I get disrespected too - but because I "only" have one child. Never mind the fact that it really wasn't my choice not to have any more. That never registers with people. By the way you describe the exchange, I sense some jealousy. Perhaps they would have made a different choice if they could do it again? Just a thought.…

Me, either.

My rule: if it lasts longer than thirty minutes and I need a shower afterwards, I count it under "Circuit training". Now all of my friends will wonder if I'm really circuit training or not. Guess they will never know........

Yep, {Pee-Wee Herman voice} "I know you are, but what am I?"
