Any other "Inbetweeners"?
I spent an hour and a half at K-Mart tonight trying on clothes. I am officially too small for Plus Size shirts (yeah!) but not small enough for regular women's sizes. I am literally stuck in between. It hasn't just happened at K-Mart, same story at Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Fashion Bug. As you can tell, I don't have much money, so…

Spaghetti squash recipe
I found this on Steamy Kitchen: In a saute pan, melt a small pat of butter on med. heat. Add a clove of crushed garlic and 1/4 cup fresh parsley (I used two T dried). Once that has cooked together, add roasted, flaked squash and saute. THEN (this takes it way over the top!) add 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese! Oh, was it good! May…

Following the Schedule
Need some advice about the Turbo Fire schedule. Before I started TF I was doing a Zumba/KettleWorx combo. My schedule was 1 Zumba, 1 KW, 1 Zumba, rest day, 1 Zumba, 1 KW, rest day. This means I would have 2 rest days per week. This seemed to work out well for me. With TF I only get one rest day a week. I usually miss one…

5 AM workouts = lightheaded
I have started working out after I get up, so I'm working out at 5 am. I tried it once before, but because I got so shakey and lightheaded, I stopped. I really want to do early morning workouts, so I started again at 5 am. This time I ate a banana and drank 16 oz. of water before I started. Tuesday I was fine, but this…

Turbo Fire users - opinions please
I'm crossposting from another post for more responses. I would like some advice about the Turbo Fire schedule. Before I started TF I was doing a Zumba/KettleWorx combo. My schedule was 1 Zumba, 1 KW, 1 Zumba, rest day, 1 Zumba, 1 KW, rest day. This means I would have 2 rest days per week. This seemed to work out well for…

NSV - jean shopping on New Year's Eve!
When I started MFP I was wearing snug size 22 jeans. Today I bought size 16! It was so much fun to grab a size I did not think would fit and have them zip right up! I hope you all have a great 2012!

TurboFire Help Request (HIIT)
I did my first HIIT 15 today. I would like some advice about it. I have been following the Prep Schedule religiously. First - it is so fast! My body will not move that fast and I am not really good at jumping, plus I weigh over 200 lbs. I try to follow Allie, but what she is doing is not intense enough - I don't feel like…

Awesome Healthy Beef and Broccoli
I needed to find something for dinner, I was out of ideas, and I wanted Chinese food. I found a recipe on the Kraft website using the Toasted Asian Sesame dressing and tweaked it a bit. It tasted so good and I am definitely making again! The calorie count comes out to 263/serving not including rice. 3/4 lb. sirloin steak,…

Starting TurboFire soon - Need advice about current routine
I have been doing Zumba for my cardio 3-4 days/wk for about a year. Last November I added KettleWorx for strength training. I have been more than pleased with the results. I will be starting TurboFire soon because I wanted to amp up my cario and I know it is a 90 day cycle. My question is: Is there enough strength training…

NSV- New swim suit!
For most of us who have had weight problems, putting on a swim suit is one of our least favorite things to do. I am happy to report that I ordered a terrific swim suit from Land's End. I ordered it online, and it fit right out of the box! Not only did it fit, it looked good! I am not one to post pictures, especially in a…

Inspiration dress - it fit!
Just had to share - my school's Talent Show was tonight, principal lost her voice and I became the M. C as of this morning. I couldn't decide what to wear. I'm looking through my closet and spied - THE DRESS. It is the dress I bought two years ago. It's a fantasy dress. Slinky, pretty, bold. I could not bring myself to buy…

The NEW Zumba DVDs - whose got 'em?
Just curious if anyone has tried them yet. I've been needing new ones and saw the ad for the new additions. If you have them, please share your thoughts. Thank you!

Awesome Cookbook
I just got "Taste of Home Comfort Food Diet Cookbook" I've already used three or four recipes and all were great! It is broken down not only by meal, but also by calorie count, so if you only have 150 calories left in your day, you can find a 150 calorie dessert. Not sure how new it is, but I thought it was worth the…

Tell me about Turbo Jam
I have been doing Zumba at home on DVD since mid-July and it has helped me gain so much stamina and has toned my body. I then added Kettleworx in late October. It has helped me gain some muscle and have actual muscle tone. I love both of them, but I have been searching for change just to keep things interesting. I tried 30…

Kettleworx Experience
I had said in a previous post that I would give my review of the Kettleworx DVDs. Since I'm recovering from being sick, I have some time to sit long enough to write. To begin, I ordered the Kettleworx system because I have been doing Zumba religiously since mid-August and wanted to find a simple way to include some…

Question for advance fitness type people
I'm not an expert on fitness. When I first started working out I was using the Wii Fit and walking. I graduated to Zumba DVDs and I was doing Zumba exclusively. As I started losing iches and some weight I decided I needed to add some strength training and chose Kettleworx. I am doing one day of 45 min. Zumba, the next day…

Anyone here have KettleWorx?
I saw the infomercial (yea, I'm boring) and I think this may be better for me than P90X. I am doing Zumba and loving it, but I am at the point where I think I need to add something else, probably involving strength training. This looked easier and more fun. The price isn't bad - actually less than P90X. Anyone have any…

This why I love MFP
I am going out for lunch with my daughter today. We don't get to do that often. I have decided I want Qdoba - I love Mexican food. I went to their website and they let you easily build your own tacos and it calculates the calories in seconds! I figured I can have two tacos for under 500 calories! Now I can have lunch and…

Mini success
In July of this year I had just received my Zumba DVDs and started (slowly) going through the introduction and beginning routines. Then I went on vacation to see my sister in Texas and stopping at my parents' house in IL on the way back to help out a little after my Mom's knee surgery. I was gone 15 days total. Early…

Allow me to introduce myself
Hello! I am another of the many "Today" newbies. I was astounded by the young lady's profile in the "Joy Fit Club" and jotted down the website. After poking around I joined up because it appears to be very easy. I have been on SparkPeople for awhile, but find it to be a lot of tracking. This site seems very streamlined and…
