No need to be terrified. 4'11" Here as well. Fuel your body, otherwise you wont get anything out of the program.

I lift, HEAVY! Feel free to add me:-) I am currently doing the program: New Rules of Lifting for Women

I just joined as well! I downloaded the app and did the first work out a few weeks ago. I found room in my schedule to do it at least 2 times a week so that will start on Wednesday! I can't wait to start!

I heart sandwiches! Everything in moderation!

It's Shakeology's rival!!!

I totally agree. Some stuff is crap and there are people with bad manners here. But I wouldn't be where I am now without the forums!! I did WW years ago and did the online thing again at the beginning of last year along side MFP. I learned many things through this process, but the most important thing I learned was to do…

If your doctor is concerned about your weight this may qualify you to be recommended to a nutritionist by your physician. Most family physicians I know personally would not give any advise about nutrition and send you to a nutritionist. I would recommend to tell your doctor what you told us. You want a long term goal to…

Heavy lifter here! Any heavy lifters can add me! :-)

Being a cashier would put you in atleast the "lightly active " category. If you do more than that it may start creeping in the "moderately active"

There are lots of programs for beginner lifters out there. A few to look at are: Stronglifts, Starting Strength, New Rules of lifting for Women. The first one is a free site/log that shows you the program. The other 2 are books. I suggest you to pick a program and possibly hire a trainer to teach you proper form or go to…

I agree with most people that have already replied. The last 5lbs is the hardest to come off, and it may never come off. That is not to say that you can LOOK like you lost the last 5lbs. My suggestion is- Log everything. It sucks sometimes, but you have to do it. Having hard data will help find if there is any issues with…

This post reminded me of this one. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/438315-when-is-a-pound-lost-and-where-does-it-go

\ Yes, you may not be eating enough for your size, or your goal may be too aggressive for being sedentary.

I can't do 1200 calories either. I would never do that to my body! I am hungrier on rest days too, I just try to eat more filling foods. Some time is work, sometimes it doesn't! I hate that our bodies play that stupid game! Body: "Hey, I know you worked out really hard, but I don't WANNA EAT!!!" You: "Body, YOU SUCK!!! I…

I am 4'11" as well. 145lbs and 30 years old (not as well) My TDEE-20% right now is just under 1500 calories. I eat 1500 most days. I am satisfied on 1500 cals 90% of the time. But honestly, you have you realize (I know this from previously being on your friends list) that you are more active than the average female! I…

I would recommend to get a Heart Rate Monitor.
-
You go up 5 lbs each work out on Stronglifts. That could be up to 10lbs a week per exercise.
-
I agree. You are not feeding you body enough for the work outs you are doing. Your body needs fuel!

This is what I remember from the 90's Had to have this to be cool in school! Shirt too big? No problem! Even cooler if the shirt was homemade with puffy paint! Don't forget your matching homemade shoestring hair bow! Even better if your bangs are curled and teased! Watched it every Sunday!

I seriously live 2 blocks from this gym and had no idea that was their shtick. It kind of reminds me of a thread I saw a few months ago about a speed dating service that checked your dress size and wouldn't accept any woman over a size 8. It is gross that people feel they need to do these things, but the truth is in this…

Got it! Yay:-)

I have never met any MFP friends IRL. I have a few I was friends with and found out were on this site and added them, but non of them stuck with it. I would love to go to a meet up or something! Anyone in or around Dallas, TX?

I did a VLCD once and lost 70 lbs. I: 1. Gained it all back over 9 years 2. Developed Gallstones and had to have major surgery. Which comes with other unpleasant side effects like having to run to the bathroom after eating a salad! 3. I have a severe case of Hypoglycemia and have trouble controlling my blood sugar. 4. My…

1350 daily sounds about right with NO exercise . If you work out you would need to eat back you exercise calories. Personally I think it is easier you figure out your maintenance calories and subtract 20% from that way you can plan meals easier and make sure your intake is consistent. If want help with this please feel…

I personally changed my macros to 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fat. That gives me about 1g of protein per lb of LBM.

Wonderful post :-)

I am guessing you are eating too little. I can not know that for sure without knowing your stats (height, wieght, age, body fat if known) It looks like from your goal you do not have much to lose. Having a large deficit usually hinders loss in these situations instead of helping. edited to add: I was having really bad…
