I lost close to 50 pounds just walking and staying within my calorie limit. It took me about 6 months. I'm also 55 years old. I've kept it off for 2 years, and have just now started to get into some strength training. I have MS in addition to Fibro, so i will never be a runner, and there will always be a limit to what I…

Looks amazing. I don't know what your neurologist told you when you were diagnosed, but mine told me that 5 years in to your diagnosis you could pretty much be sure that there wouldn't be any drastic change in your condition. That has been true for me, for the most part. Just cognitive issues no one would notice but me.…

And another salt field. I managed to lose 50 pounds without giving it up. I know I should, but haven't yet. I'm one of those people who salt their food before I even taste it. Bad, bad, bad.

Omelet. Throw in some cheese, green peppers and mushrooms. Salsa on top after cooking. Yum.

I was in a similar situation. My daughter was getting married 2 years ago. She chose not to have any bridesmaids, just me. When I was measured for a dress, they pretty much forced me to get a large size - an 18, even though I asked for 2 sizes smaller since I knew I would be losing weight. When the dress came in, I tried…

I think you're doing great. Don't get frustrated. When you lose it more slowly, you'll have more time so that it becomes a life style change and you'll keep it off. I had to respond when I saw the mention of WW and Lean Cuisine. I lost my 50 pounds living on Lean Cuisine and WW. I just didn't want to have to think about…

Hi! Quite a few of us on here with MS. Sorry you got it as such a young age :( I was diagnosed when I was 35.

You can do it. I'm the same way, and the only thing that worked for me was to replace certain foods with healthier substitutes. I would look forward to chips and ice cream every night. Not just any chips, but a certain brand and Haagen Daz coffee ice cream. It was like a ritual. I replaced the chips with 100 Calorie snack…

Joined almost 2 years ago. $10 a month and won't go up. Only thing is there is an annual fee of $29.00 or so they take out sometime in October. It's hard not to get your $10 worth out of it. It's very clean and the machines are in good condition. It's been great for me. I walk a little over 3 miles on the treadmill and do…

Hey Carilyn, I love your comment that if something doesn't make sense, it must be the MS. How true. Fortunately, I've never a problem with the sex drive. Have you gone to your gyno? I started menopause when I was your age, and it took several years to get through. That's where I would start. I wouldn't discount the Xanax…

C for my first name, 3 for number of children, J because all their names begin with J. The S for my 3js. 80 because they were all born in the 80s.

You found it once, you can find it again. Think about how tough it was at the beginning. You'll do great. We have days (me anyway) when we just would like to say "hell with it."

You're not stingy, most of us have other obligations. I'm looking at getting a better of shoes now, but I'm still using my Sauconys that I got at ****s for 40.00. When I think about it, I've put hundreds of miles on those shoes,

Question? How is everyone counting? 1 - 2 - 3 - 1, etc or 1-2-3-4-5-6-, etc.?

Oh crap. Why did I have to read this? lol Actually I can't get to the gym today, so thanks for getting me motivated. Here I go.....
