Try eating at a calorie deficit instead and save your money. Any type of gadget that promises something like this is a scam.

You are an inspiration to others. Congrats on turning your life around, and making such positive changes in your life. Things will just keep getting better and better for you!

Please - not another one of these threads. People seriously have seriously skewed way of how a human should look if they think she is too thin. God bless America.

Sorry, but I don't see how somebody finishing their weight loss journey sets a poor example.

And for the record, 105 at 5'4" is within a healthy BMI. This nation is just accustomed to seeing its own fat.
-
Once again, this forum revels in skinny shaming. Then, I wouldn't expect anything less from these forums. Honestly, it's nice change of pace to see somebody actually finish their weight loss journey.

I know it's weird, but the same thing happened to me. I lost most of my weight on around 1400 to 1500 calories. When I hit my goal, I upped my calories to about 1700 or 1800, and actually lost weight quicker than when I was actually trying. I have since found my maintenance calories to be around 2100.

It's all numbers. If you eat at a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. Once you hit goal, you will increase your points to where you can maintain the loss and not lose any more. Hitting maintenance is not supposed to mean going off of the program - it means increasing your daily points until you no longer lose weight.…

I lost 90 lbs and have kept it off for two years with Weight Watchers (online on/y). I don't buy any special foods - I just track my food and yes i do embrace the zero point veggies and fruits. It's a tool like any other, that keeps you in a calorie deficit. Please keep in mind that the 26 or 29 points you get for losing…

Deleted because I suck at the internet. Damn MFP...

I'm 5'9" and hover between 125 and 130 without really much effort. Yes, if I snacked unendlessly and ate crappy food like I used to, I'm sure I would weigh in the 200's again. The key is to tracking your food. When I was heavy, I would have swore I was big boned. Now that I'm on the low end of the BMI chart(what one poster…

I make it a priority to get a certain amount of dairy, protein and fruits and veggies per day. After that, every thing else is fair game as long as I'm under my calorie goal. Enjoy.

I just googled Sasha Markina, and she's got an absolutely gorgeous, rocking body. Holy crap!

This. So much. X 1 Billion.

There's no denying that obesity is an epidemic in this country, and not doing anything to change that isn't helping us as a society. It's driving up healthcare costs and dragging us down, as a whole. It starts with personal responsibility, educating yourself, and making better choices. That said, I also see countless posts…

I also want to clarify on my above post that I don't disagree with the video. It was the posts following it with the crap about men loving meat, not bones, etc. In addition to the video the OP shared, I would also like take it a step further, and point out that every women in this Dove ad not only have only one body type,…

Not this drivel again... :noway:

As a teen, I remember feeling a bit too skinny at 115 lbs - I was pretty self conscience about it. That put my BMI at 17.0, so yeah I was a bit thin - I don't think it was just in my head.

50 calories was the old plan, prior to 2011. It's now 40 calories, per point.

This x 1 billion.

Congrats to you!!! You are so lucky... :drinker:  Seriously though, great job.

I don't believe in the idea of "food addiction" either, but I do know that eating processed sugary foods like cupcakes will make me insanely hungry a few hours later. That's why I just avoid stuff like that altogether - it's not worth it. While fruit has sugar, it doesn't have the same effect, and I eat plenty of it. Just…

Agreed. And some people, in addition to being a victim, need to resort to calling others idiots to make themselves feel better in almost every single one of their posts. Not naming anybody specifically in this thread, but I'm sure you guys can figure it out.

Obesity is the result of behavior - it is absolutely NOT a disease. OP, I do applaud you for sharing your experience, even if it's different from my own. That said, you could have done this without pills or surgery. Most women can lose weight on around 1600 calories a day, which if you eat the right foods at the right…

On average, I was eating about 1400 to 1600 calories a day while losing. I originally only meant to get to 136, but I found it hard to increase my calories after hitting goal since I was doing this for about a year. Eventually I increased them all the way to around 2200 (less during the week and more on the weekend), and…

I'm 38, I'm 5'9" and am just a touch lower than you, hovering between 125 and 130. My maintenance is around 2200, so it's absolutely possible your maintenance is 2500.
-
When I first made goal, somebody who I hadn't seen in awhile greeted me excitedly, and said, "Oh, I see you had weight loss surgery!!!" No f***-stick, I tracked my intake, and started eating better. Why would I need to cut my insides open to do that? Silly idiots.

I follow WW, and have never counted fruit. I lost 90 lbs and kept it off, so the zero point fruit was never a problem. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest the reason I was overweight wasn't because I was eating too much fruit...
