  • Yeah I'm kind of like this too. Here's what a day generally looks like for me: Breakfast: 1 scoop Dymatize Nutrition Whey/Casein Chocolate Protein with 8oz black coffee and lots of ice (Mocha Protein!) or BetterOats Oatmeal packet (whatever flavor I have in my desk drawer) and maybe some greek yogurt Lunch: Either a salad…
  • 1. What Week/Day are you on? Doing w9d3 tonight! (sort of - I am doing a 3 mile loop and timing it) 2. How do you feel? So awesome! I did XC in high school and hated every single moment of it (but I loved my teammates, so I stuck with it) so as a result I never tried very hard. This time around it's so different! I feel…
  • I love it with strawberries, blueberries, or pineapple. Or all of them.
  • Absolutely! I am graduating c25k tonight and running my first 5k on saturday, and I definitely feel ready!
  • ^^ ME TOO! I get sushi once or twice a month (at least) and I just don't worry about calories...I figure whatever I get is still better than going to Five Guys!
  • I am graduating the program tonight! Running and timing a 3 mile run...last time I did it in 32:46 so I'm hoping for a PR! First 5k race is on Saturday, I'm so excited!
  • Tomorrow is officially my last c25k run, though I've been going a bit off-book in my workouts the last couple weeks. My first 5k is this saturday (wooooooo!) and I wanted to get my speed/endurance up before then. Two weeks ago, I could run 5k, but barely. I ran about a 12min mile pace and felt like I was going to die as I…
  • No way, MFP is way low on their protein goal. I set a custom goal for my protein and try to hit at least 100g a day. It keeps me full and helps my muscles recover after workouts. Definitely don't cut back on protein! If anything, add more!
  • I tend to try and choose a whey protein with as little sugar/carbs as possible, and at least 20-25g protein. My needs may not be the same as yours though, as a woman. I personally use Dymatize Nutrition Elite Gourmet Whey/Casein blend.
  • If you have almost graduated the program, you are probably ok to add a couple extra running days in. I am just starting week 9, and I've added two additional running days. So now I run 5x a week, and alternate shorter, faster runs with longer, paced runs. Typically, depending on my schedule, I will run Mon, Tues, Wed,…
  • I'm no expert, but I found that on my "off" days, if I did hill sprints or strength training with the focus on my legs and core that it helped my time. I was pretty consistently running at a 12min mile pace for a month or two until I started incorporated sprints and strength training, and now I can do 1 mile in 9:36 and 3…
  • I finished w8d3 yesterday! The first couple days of week 7 were a bit of a challenge, but I did it, and now I can run 2-3 miles consistently without much of an issue. My breathing is finally starting to even out when I run (provided I don't start out too quickly) and I've improved my mile time from 12min to 9:36, and if…
  • First off, I LOVE your avatar! I have a little adipose stress toy on my desk next to me  To answer your question (with my 100% opinion, non-scientific answer), I would say it depends where you are in the program. I tried running two days in a row in week 2 or 3, and ended up straining a muscle and not being able to…
  • I am 5'8" and I was a 12 somewhere in the 16-165 range, I think. I am 150 right now and am between an 8-10
  • Finished w5d2 last night after being on the road for the last week and a half for work...I thought it was going to be a struggle because I didn't really exercise or eat very well while traveling and had put on a couple pounds...but I powered through those 8 min runs without too much problem! Looking forward to the 20 min…

  • When I'm doing cardio, anything by Crystal Castles or Children18:3...fast paced and catchy!
  • I use Dymatize Nutrition Gourmet Chocolate protein and mix 1 scoop with 8oz black coffee and loads of ice...shake it up and you've got a delicious mocha protein drink in the morning! I get my morning protein, and my morning coffee all in one go
  • 1. What Week/Day are you on? W4D1 yesterday - and I did it on a trail instead of the track like normal! A lot tougher but it was great 2. How do you feel? Awesome! Have to wear my knee brace, but it hasn't been bothering me much 3. Have you had to repeat a week or day? Not yet! 4. Did you add time or remove time from one…
  • Yes!! My family is from Louisiana and we put Tony Chachere's on ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. Best spice out there!! I was THRILLED when stores up here in MA started stocking it and I didn't have to order it from Cajun Grocer anymore
  • There's an app for that
  • Definitely TMJ, I've had that issue for years. It's never been painful for me though, just clicks, so I haven't seen anyone about it yet. I can deal with a cracking jaw every now and then
  • ^^I have to agree with this. I had that get up and GO attitude too last week... I did w2d1 and felt great the next day, and decided to do w2d2. I figured since I used to run every day in high school for track and XC, two run days in a row shouldn't be a big deal for me now. WRONG! I strained my right hamstring and haven't…
  • Love love love ultimate frisbee!! By far my favorite activity, and a fantastic workout! Had a really active day yesterday...played ultimate frisbee, boxed with a couple friends (friendly boxing...not actually trying to knock each other out haha but def worked up a sweat) and tossed around a football. You know, it's really…
  • Download Spotify! You can listen to whatever you want then :) it's wonderful

  • I hula hoop on days my knee is bothering me (if I can't get to the gym for an elliptical), or biking should be pretty gentle.
  • I don't really have a problem drinking enough water...sometimes I buy those Smartwater 32oz bottles, and I'll refill it 5 or 6 times throughout the day! I think I need more water than most people...if I get less than 80-100oz a day, I get headaches
  • I travel a lot for my job and have never had a problem bringing kindle, gps, regular pedometer, camera, etc....I don't see any reason why this would cause problems. You won't have to give it up, I promise.
  • I just started c25k, and I am sticking to 3 days a week until at least the last couple weeks. Then I might bring it up to 3 or 4...I used to run every day in high school when I was on XC and track, and it never caused me many problems. I'm sure it depends on the individual
  • ^^This is EXACTLY me as well
