I'm a nurse who works with eating disorder kids and this type of behavior (and choice of words) is what I see all the time, unfortunately. This is definitely not behavior I would condone, especially if you are wanting to do this every day.

I worked a desk job for almost 6 years and I used the regular exercises you can do at your desk. I also purchased a mini stair stepper that I used a majority of the time when I was sitting down to keep my legs moving. (I think I have RLS LOL...I have to have my legs moving all the time)

I wondered the same thing but then decided to just wear my HRM. It seemed easier than guessing! But even though you may not be pedaling non-stop, your body is still working :)

Welome! I know what you mean. When I first started reading these forums, I thought the calories burned seemed really high. The dance party video i'm assuming sounds like all cardio? I'd probably go that as Aerobics (not sure about the intensity...guess that would be your call). i've never personally tried it however my cousin loves it. She does it a few times a week & has had success with it. She loves it! I am in the same boat. Cardio is always a good way of losing the fat..but then you gotta make sure you tone up. So I do cardio 5x/wk and toning every other day or every 3 days. I have a pilates reformer so have been using that & I love it!

Welcome! My boyfriend and i plan all our meals on Sunday. Usually we will scour recipe sites for meals and go shopping that day with our list in hand. It took a little while to get used to it but it has become second nature to us. It will get easier the more you do it...but getting started can be difficult. Good luck!

I have the same problem. My legs are very muscular & bulky. I've been doing a lot of cardio to get the small layer of fat over it but I dont think i'll be lucky enough where they'll end up looking too different. I am going to start pilates to strenghten without bulking up even more. hopefully it will work somehow!
