Once a week. It helps me from going crazy and it's something to look forward to!

I try to log, but don't fret if I forget.

I dislike it when a female my age or only slightly older calls me "sweetie" or "honey". It really annoys me.
-
LOVE MY FT4!!! It really is worth it to know exactly how much you're burning.
-
I don't know if you like ice cream but I LOVE skinny cow ice cream. Very yummy and reasonably low on calories/fat/sugar.

So glad to see this topic! I was reading reviews on fitbit and got a little discouraged. But I really want to try it. Does it sync well with phones? (Non-iphones). I have an HTC. I heard a lot of horror stories about syncing issues. Any suggestions on which model to get? Thanks!

Welcome! I love MFP and I'm glad to hear you are finding it helpful. I found your post interesting because you mentioned my new 2 favorite foods: Skinny cow ice cream and Special K chips! I love them! If you are looking for a friend to help motivate and talk about weight loss and nutrition feel free to add me!

I was going to mention the same thing that theelct2005 mentioned. Make SURE you aren't eating too little. I hit a plateau about a month ago because I was on the 1200 calorie diet. After much research and calculation I found out I was eating too little. If you aren't eating enough your body goes into that "starvation mode"…
-
You may also need to reevaluate what you are eating. Calories may be calories but where you get them from is important. I've recently been doing research on foods and what positive affects certain foods may have on you, your metabolism and losing weight. I've just been reading a lot of trusted sources on nutrition. Also…

I agree. I weight 198 and 1200 calories a day ended up not being enough after doing a lot of research. I like to snack on low fat string cheese, fiber one reduced calorie bars, fruit and low fat popcorn from Aldi's (Fit and Active is the brand if you have an Aldis nearby - its really good and only 40 calories a cup...…

So I'm wondering if anyone is in the same boat I'm in. I've been struggling with determining a correct daily calorie goal; one that is enough to lose weight but still eating enough to have my body burning energy normally. I looked at the numbers the calculators (TDEE, BMR) were giving me and I couldn't believe that I could…
-
Yea - I feel like I have to eat TONS to reach my 1642 BMR. If I have to eat more calories on top of that to make up exercise calories it makes me not want to exercise. lol
-
I'm with you valligator!!! I don't know what to do. MFP says 1350.. my BMR is 1640. Which is the amount I should be eating. I don't want to under eat and I don't want to over eat. AHHH.
-
Okay so MFP says my BMR is 1624... but it puts me at 1350 to loose 1.5 pounds a week. I'm being told I need to at least eat my BMR. So you say their system is better but I'm still confused. Do I stick with the 1350 they tell me to eat daily or my BMR which is 1624 (1.5 pounds a week... 50 pounds to loose)? Thank-you for…
-
Thanks for your advice. I'd like the know the answer to valligator's question also.
-
I just try to give myself at least an hour or two before bed to digest unless its a small snack.

5'5" Age: 30 SW: 220 (started MFP at 212) CW: 201 GW: 150 I'd guess I have a medium frame. I'd love a twin :) I'll look through more later to see if any previous posts match. I just don't have time right now.

I feel you! I ate a small piece of pie to splurge at work. I probably would have thought twice if I knew it was 350 calories. I just ate less for for dinner and worked out. It all worked out in the end.

Lol I've lost 'an average house cat' and hope to lose 'an elephant penis'. LOL thanks for the post. That's amazing!

I always maintain weight (or sometimes gain a pound) for a week or so prior to TOM and lose 1-2 pounds after it starts. Bloating and not losing weight is rough but I just remind myself that in a few days I'll be losing those couple pounds. As for cravings... When I get a food craving I try to find an alternative to eating…

I'm always looking for more MFP friends! In my opinion you never know who you are going to meet. Some of the people I've added so far have been extremely helpful! And if one of your friends is constantly inactive, non-helpful, etc.. it's easy to remove them from your list. ANYONE is welcome to add me :)

Hi! I'm always looking for new MFP friends who I can 'chat' with about diet and weight loss. I have 50 pounds yet to lose. Anyone is welcome to add me :) I
