I used my weight from when I started losing. I tried to leave it at MFP starting weight but felt discouraged when it said 4lbs lost and it was really 44...

I don't think there is any harm in going to maintenance for a while however, since you stated you slip back to old habits fairly easy (as I do) I would be concerned about it becoming too hard to move back. Maybe break for a couple of days but then get back on the horse. Change the way you see your weight loss experience as…

1. My food scale and measuring cups/spoons - portions are not what I once thought they were 2. MFP - learning about BMR, TDEE and all the opinions helped me focus on what works for me (once I got past being overwhelmed) 3. My Ftibit - I love it it show the calories I've burned for the day so even while resting I know if I…

The fitbit can't account for your heart rate it uses the information you programmed in when you set it up height, weight, etc. It is meant to count steps and then use these measurements to account for the number of calories burned. The HRM also takes into account your heart rate so should be more accurate however,…

Ok so stupid but my friends play poker and when discussing the amount of the bet they say, it's $50.00 "all day" No it's not "all day" it's until the next bet or the next hand. WTH?

I would agree. Learning about BMR and TDEE has helped me think about the numbers differently, I now see my goal calories as where I want to be and if I go over, unless I go over my TDEE, I no longer panic. If I go over my goal calories by 300/400, that will not mean I will gain 4lbs of fat ( I would need to eat 14,000…

I am back after losing 115lbs and gaining 112 back  I was on bed rest with my daughter and then migraines after exercise once she was born, then I just gave up but I'm back and down 48 - only 88 to go :drinker:
-
Ok - not perfect but it's the first time not on my knees and I made all 50

Ha - I'm done Sets: 12 25 37 48 - yay

I get a migraine after long intense workouts (I have a history of migraines). I took my workouts down a notch and a little shorter until I can build my strength and endurance. Hopefully I'll then be able to get back to more intense work outs...

Gonna print this and use it as a checklist  As of today I've lost a small bale of hay and still need to lose the worlds largest ball of tape, a human skin and a guinea pig :drinker: So my final will be 1lb shy of the potatoes an average American eats in a year

10 down (didn't get very low but not on my knees...)

Sure why not already did 12 this morning just cuz.... I'll add 88 more later today :drinker:

One thing I've had to learn is that our bodies don't always make sense. A half pound gain could be many things, including water retention, undigested food or that you weighed yourself at a different time of day. If you pick up an exercise program you will see a gain for a couple of weeks after (so be prepared for that).…

I have also been on a loooong plateau and seem to have just broken through (fingers crossed). I am now down 4lbs and just hope its more than that by 9/1 :ohwell:

I was going to do another set but I was afraid I'd get too bulky...
-
Wow, you lost 108lbs?!?!? Kinda jealous there, but maybe your body is just readjusting. Make sure your water intake is up there and your logging is accurate. Maybe mix up your exercise to get back on track? Whatever you did I'm guessing you haven't been going crazy on extra calories so it's not fat. Just remember no matter…

It's amazing the things we told ourselves we couldn't do or wouldn't like and now here we are. :drinker: :drinker: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I thought of another  I can now eat a high calorie meal (normally if I can't find a healthy alternative) and go on to eat my next meal healthy. I would've just continued to eat bad for at least a week because you know, if you eat bad once just give up. Again without even a thought:happy:   …

Congrats and thanks for the inspiration
