I am with @Beka3695, My B-day is this weekend and I plan on celebrating sensibly, I plan on a few cocktails, 1 B-day dessert and 1 nice meal out. But there is no reason I can't get in my 5 mile walks a day. I am looking forward to a CLEAN October and I will 100% commit September 30. 8 weeks till vacation in sunny Florida…

PW: 167.9 CW: 170.8 Okay, yesterday was a bust, crappy food, salty and paying for it today. I managed to walk/run 5 miles 5 times last week and ate pretty good. I can fluctuate 3-4 pounds easy when training. Sorry to let the team down, going to pull out all the stops next week, need a good drop. I have a Florida vacation…

PW: 167.9 CW: 170 Okay I am not sure what is going on this week, I walk/ran everyday(I have been sore from running), I ate out lunch yesterday and food was salty. Not going to freak, will be extra careful next week, I truly thought I would be down a pound.

Thank you

Ok my weigh in is 167.9, not sure how I log this. 6 days this week walking more than 4+ miles a day outside.

Has anyone bought the book The Mindful Drink Workbook by Rachel Hart?

I am right here with you, Jan and Feb were good, April was a slippery slope. May I hope to get back to moderation and not an everyday event. I can come up with any excuse to have a drink in the evening, its warm out, sun is out, crappy rain, stress at work, Its Thursday, it's Friday, I am happy, I am sad.....I think you…

Today will be 2 days AF, I slept amazing, I had energy, and I worked out tonight.

I am in for the month of April. I will moderate to 1 x a week. March was not good, but I am ready to kick start my weight loss again, feel great and start looking refreshed and energized. I did very well in Jan and Feb. Glad to be back.
-
I do not post much but I learn so much from this group.(Been here since Jan). But this morning I almost spit my coffee out laughing when I read your post. Being AF has made such a difference in my life, I hold a cup of coffee in the morning like it was liquid gold. I watch my tea pot boil like I am a witch watching her…

Hey GF it is ok, well I say that because I also had a stressful day and some tough personal issues coming up. My goal since Jan 1 was to cut back from drinking every freaking day. I did it. 6 times in Jan and 3 times in Feb. My goal was 5 times in Feb and down from there. I allowed stupid things deter me. So we both…

@kittybenn OMG I have been having 2 dark chocolate squares a night, my little reward, but I almost had a third so I cannot let chocolate replace alcohol calories, but in the long run it won't hurt our body but may stall weight loss. Which is more important, I think you and i know, no alcohol. Keep up the good work.

I did 25 days in January alcohol free. The 6 days were weekends. I cannot tell everyone how glad I am to be in this group, I am ready to drink less in February and beat my January stats. I can say my face is less red and puffy, eyes are brighter, skin softer. I do not have any stomach issues and feel amazing in the AM. I…

I also noticed a drop, end of December my Resting heart rate was 74, today I am hitting 62.
-
@NormInv That was a great story, I never thought I would be continuing into February, but I am ready.

Do anything for 6 min. Download a meditation app "Calm" go into the bathroom. :-) Yes everyone needs a break.
-
That is my girl, very proud of you. But I have to say I will be glad when you are back home. B)

I got in a great workout too and I even ran a little on the treadmill. I am hoping to do a half marathon this summer. Without hangovers I may be able to accomplish this. I look forward to a good night sleep and the smell of coffee in the AM, it taste good when you are not hungover. Yep another dry night for me.
-
Good for you!!!! It gets easier I think the more you overcome these situations. You can do it! And yes I must get the one with the blue lights, it looks so inviting and cool.

Went out for Mexican last night, normally I would have had a few Margarita's and then came home and slammed 3 more vodka's on the rocks. Last night I didn't even think about it. Hubby even said look at the money we are saving and calories(As I wolfed down a bowl of chips and salsa). I do get tired of all the restrictions,…

Day 16 and (3 days I drank since Jan 1). I still get moody but it passes much quicker. I am also enjoying seeing the changes in my skin and overall health. No more stomach issues or disagreements with food, no late night snacking. I wash the dishes now every night and the kitchen is spotless and all ready for the next day.…

Awesome job, and the best gift you can give yourself is a "no drink" think how great you will feel. Our bodies are thanking us every minute we are sober. Have a great birthday tomorrow. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Marybeth-I would be interested in what you got, I wanted to try something to but didn't know where to start looking.
-
I just joined this morning too!

MonkeyMeI21 this made me laugh, I totally know what you mean. I use to chug water all night in hope it would fend off the dreaded dry mouth and hangover.
