I've tried maca powder and liked the flavor. It's a good stimulant. It used to be about $12 a pound, now it's more like $18+ a pound. That's too expensive for me now.

Essential oils are not pseudoscience and sciencebasedmedicine.org is a terrible site. Peppermint essential oil has helped calm me down in the gym and does help increase oxygen flow.

It makes the urine less acidic or alkaline which dissolves the more acidic stone. I'm not sure about the reaction in the stomach. http://www.webmd.com/kidney-stones/sodium-bicarbonate-baking-soda-for-kidney-stones http://www.drugs.com/dosage/sodium-bicarbonate.html

You didn't post any links to other threads or sites. What am I supposed to read your mind? I know what you mean though. I'm just wasting my time talking to you.

It's also not that they take over a ecosystem but they damage it. Say they kill off all the earth worms, butterflies, and bees in an area. What happens then to the minerals in the soil and the pollination of all the plants?

People trying to cleanse their body of carbs? Where has that been stated in this whole conversation? You're not making much sense. I wasn't stating that kidney stones have anything to do with cleansing only that it affects function of the kidneys.

I have tried the diet well the mostly bananas diet and I couldn't recover doing heavy squats. I wasn't getting enough protein and my body remained sore for about 5 days where normally I would recover in a day or two with hardly any soreness.

I've never really had a dumb diet except the time I ate almost entirely bananas, only a few greens and other vegetables and did heavy squats. I had the worst soreness and it wouldn't go away for 5 days or so. I had a personal trainer and he was giving me a normal load it's just I didn't have the protein in my diet to…

The same way as a healthy diet because a healthy diet is really the only detox or cleanse you need. Science doesn't yet have the answer so you just have to eat the best you can. Your kidneys aren't functioning optimally if you have kidney stones but your doctor would still say they are working properly for the most part. I…
-
I said not functioning optimally not aren't functioning properly. BIG DIFFERENCE
-
Your liver and kidneys can only do so much and may not be functioning optimally.

Garlic, Turmeric, Lemons, and Leafy greens would be some.

Cyanide in small doses actually kill cancer cells. There are lot of foods with trace amounts of cyanide. If someone is allergic to a food I would recommend them to not eat it.

You don't have to juice. Eating raw fruits and vegetables is fine, or even some cooked. I was just comparing V8 to fresh juice. Heat destroys enzymes and stored juice loses nutrients. Although V8 is still really good for you. Sick people can benefit from juicing because it takes a lot less effort to digest it. I personally…
-
V8 is pasteurized and may have been sitting on the shelf for a while. It's not really a good comparison to fresh juice with all the enzymes and plenty more nutrients if consumed within several hours or even days of making it.

A proper cleanse or detox consists of lots of leafy greens, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds and other foods that support the liver and kidneys.

I watched the whole thing. I agree with Bill Nye. I do believe that GMOs may end up destroying ecosystems. If they are going to have to make new generations of GMOs every 5 years, there's a big chance of something going wrong in the near future. The long term effects are not known. Selective breeding between plants is one…

You can get hypervitaminosis A from the liver of certain animals — including the polar bear, bearded seal, walrus, moose, and husky. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypervitaminosis_A

No, sodium bicarbonate is not the villain! Kidney stones have to be the devil's work. lol

Sodium Bicarbonate dissolved my kidney stone. Instead of listening to the doctor and taking pain meds and letting it pass on it's own, I found out on the internet that baking soda dissolves certain types of kidney stones. For me it worked, no more pain.…

Soak only if you just want to remove the phytic acid. If you want to store soaked nuts after you can put them in a dehydrator to dry them or the oven at a low temp although this will cook the enzymes. The phytic acid will bind with some nutrients but you still should get some iron. Time is money. There are some that are…
