I know you can sleep if you get in your time machine. You live in California but your post is from......tomorrow. Interesting.

Avoid the snacking that comes with drinking beer. Every little bit helps.

If you get paid $15/hr at Mcdonalds and I pay $8 for a Big Mac, I will stop going to Mcdonalds and you will eventually lose your job.

It helps with pelvic thrusting (on the dance floor).

Running 30 minutes three times a week should work. Throw in some crosstraining for fun (and vanity muscles). You can get your miles in once you start your training. Good luck and smile and try and look fast when they take your picture.

Eat, walk around, get on a massage table.

I like the NSV I have when I am at a race and I see someone from my distant past (in the race or cheering on the sides) and they have this look on their face like "whoa! what are you doing here?"

I put together a sweet playlist for my long runs to help keep me moving. Trying to find the best looking behind helps too (for pacing purposes of course).

I have no experience running trails but I assume you will do your normal fuel/breakfast for your trail half. I think if you survived 11 miles with no fueling after your 20, you should be ok with the gatorade. I like to eat a lot after my HM so you shoud be able to replenish without any trouble. Your friend may be a little…

Marathonrookie.com has a great beginner training program. It's really on the "easy conservative" side of training plans. Do NOT worry about your speed or time - get your miles in to get your body ready for the big day. Good luck and smile when they take your picture corssing the finish line.

I have only run Half marathons so far, so nothing special for dinner (other than the free beer at packet pickup). My breakfast is PB&J on an english muffin with some OJ a few hours before the start and a banana about 30 minutes before. With my breakfast and powerade on the course, I have plenty of energy.

5K today. I'm more focused on National Cheese Day (spoken like a true Packers fan).

I use bodyweight and resistance bands. My stuff gets sore enough from running. I have seen MFP friends use swimming and rowing machines also during their training.

Greetings professor Falken. Shall we play a game?

I guess I would at least walk or even run slower to stay loose. You have a week to build up some strength. You could try some pre-made shakes (Ensure, Boost, etc..) to get back into eating. On race day you WILL be ready to run.
-
I eat chips, drink beer, and like to run (sometimes far). Feel free to add me.

What does DR OZ say? Sonic - you don't have to sugar (or aspartame) coat things. Tell us how you really feel, don't hold back :)
