Yes, a calorie is a calorie however I find it far easier to stick to my calorie goal and less likely to crave sugar if I skip the refined carbs and get plenty of my calories from protein and fats. I’m big believer that nutrient rich foods have a satiating effect.

I'm doing 18:6 intermittent fasting and have found it the best thing to curb night time overindulgence. Basically I'm 'not allowed' to eat after my feeding window which is usually 12 noon-6pm. Wow what a difference! Looks like more than 2 stone but I guess you have probably toned up too. I had around 2 stone to lose and have lost the first stone. How tall are you? I'm 5 foot 7 and was shooting for just over 10 stone but may shoot for just under.

I love low carb too. I usually get a bit dizzy between meals and have massive hunger attacks and this disappears when I cut back on carbs.

I really hope it's possible! I'm trying to trim up after 2 c sections. I have a friend who managed to get in awesome shape- took her a year. She's got fab abs and she gave birth to twins, one by c section. She actually ended up 2lb heavier as she built so much muscle but she looks like she's lost about 40lb.

I'm guessing you are in the US? Not sure if you have Slimming World there but in the UK it is one of the only 'diets' approved by midwives. Might be worth looking into- the emphasis would be on eating healthily rather than on counting calories.

Had a couple of people comment that I was looking trim today! Bought some new jeans- uk size 10. Think they are cut on the large side but still, pleased. Lost around 3 lb this week and have around 15 lb to target.

My husband has been doing it and looks a lot slimmer and more defined although has lost very little on the scales. He's been doing it twice to three times a week. I did it one night last week and damaged my ankles!
