That "free" food can be awfully expensive. It really depends on what you put the most value on.....a dollar bill or your health.

I will be buying myself a chocolate diamond ring. I figure that is a much more flattering way to wear it. :-)

Double raisin english muffin, 2 eggs over easy with Tapatio hot sauce and homemade peanut butter on 1/2 of the muffin. This was after a 70 minute walk. Nice way to start the day. :-)

Exact same thing happened to my BFF. It was definitely gallbladder for her. It was the first thing I thought when I read your post. It would not hurt to see the doctor on the matter, truly!

That is exactly how I feel. THIS is important. We are worth it! I cannot imagine not starting my day with a cup of coffee and MFP. That is what I do 7 days a week. It makes it easier to never miss a day of logging in if you can make it a routine...first thing in the morning, right before bedtime, etc. I am on and off all…

I think for me the greatest feeling of loss at times comes from not being able to just mindlessly or casually eat once in awhile. It would be so much simpler to do but the calories from that can rack up so quickly and it is not something I am willing to do. I log daily and am very diligent in my food and water logging as…

I have read your post and your profile and can relate with much of what you share. I am 49. I quit smoking 10 years ago. I started seriously on MFP 7/5/2013. As of this morning I have lost 101.2 and have about 80 pounds to go. It is work and it takes true diligence but it can be done. You can do this!! Feel free to read my…

I started out walking very early in the morning. No one was out and about, a car going by was very rare and to this day no one bothers me. I actually walk at any time of day now and do about 90 minutes. When I first started it was 20 to 25 minutes which felt like a marathon and would only be done very early in the day…

I started with the same stats as you on July 5th, 2013. I am down 100 pounds. I plunked my data in to MFP and followed their recommendations. I started with 1790 calories a day and as I have lost and re-calculated my daily calorie goal has been decreased accordingly. I have re-calculated every 10 to 15 pounds lost. Don't…

I am a waist high french cut thigh area cotton and lycra girl. I want something snug that will not shift but has good coverage and does not cut in in uncomfortable places. Works for me. :-)

I am exactly the same.

Mine is open. Most of the time it is a good day and once in awhile a bad one, but it is always honest, open and real. I like the accountability and most of my friends are the same way.

Thank you! I didn't think there was any way we were all wrong. :-)

It has not been cheap but every time I go down a size I shop for the next size down and hang it in my room. i am very frugal and there is no way I am not getting down to that size once I buy it. LOL As far as the pile of jeans I have, some of which were only worn for 4 or 5 weeks and are $75 a pair....I figure someone will…

Good morning girlies! I just made a pineapple orange protein smoothie and will be going out for a 5 mile walk in a bit. I wasn't down as much on the scale this morning as I had hoped but figured out that it is because I was not drinking my water as well as I should have been while on my trip. Water is the hardest thing for…

Getting in a hello at the end of Monday here. Just got home from the airport a bit ago and have been spending time with my kitty boys Jack and Felix. Wow they missed me a lot!! I do designer whey protein powder. My go to smoothies are almond milk, orange juice, frozen pineapple chunks, chia seeds and french vanilla protein…

Happy Saturday girlies! I had a lovely 4.5 mile walk this morning followed by a smoothie. I am vacationing at my Sister's in Omaha from my home in Washington State. I have been on target food wise and got a walk in yesterday and today. So far so good. It is all about being able to stay healthy in all aspects of life for…

Hi girlies! I am a 49 year old empty nester with a 24 year old son. I have 2 kitty boys, Jack & Felix. I work full time in the corporate / charter aviation industry. I am a very faithful food logger. I try and get in a minimum of two 5 mile walks a week and see a personal trainer for private sessions twice a week. This is…

I am 49 and perimenopausal. I am having good success with weight loss but have miles to go with it. I also know as time goes on I will have more challenges based on age and changes so I would love to join and offer support while gaining wisdom from others on this specific subject. I have joined the group and am happy to…

I have a management position in the corporate / charter aviation industry. I eat in my office and pack my lunch every day. Today is a turkey sandwich on Dave's Killer Bread with a fuji apple. It's not glamorous but it is healthy and gets the job done. I also made a smoothie in the kitchenette here at the office this…
