I have never regretted getting mine done in 2009, Now I have lost weight and am within 10 lbs of my goal weight. So it is in my future to have them redone when I get exactly where I want to be. Just be sure and take it easy for a couple days after. Good Luck!

what an idiot! I am a stay at home mom/wife and I lift heavy, no I'm not bulky nor will I ever be. it is the ignorance of people like you who think that you are below a man. apparently you didn't find a good man if he thinks you should wait on him hand and foot. don't get me wrong, I cook, clean, bring him things but he…

crystal light or great value drink mixes, some come with energy in them. just add them to 16 oz of water and your good to go. I can't do straight water all day long. but with 1 or 2 of these throughout the day I average 96 oz a day. good luck!

you can add me too, if you want!

I have a bowl of choc. chip ice cream everynight and as long as I am in my calorie range it does not affect me. I have even lost a couple pounds doing it this way. Helps keep the binge away.

My bmr & tdee are calculated online at My current weight. I have been eating at a deficit the whole time. Usually stay around 1700-1800 a day. I gave even tried 2000-2200 a day. I guess I'll start weights 4 days a week and cardio 2 days a week. Thanks y'all.

I do weigh every morning before I do anything. I was doing eggs for breakfast but can only take so much of that. I change to oatmeal get tired of that which is why I been on 1/2 pop tart here lately. I'll go back to healthy breakfast and my apples which fruit does fill me up. But I'm betting it won't work I've been back…

I've been at it since January 2012, only lost 15 lbs, but have lost 6% of my body fat and lots of inches. I am alot stronger, started out lifting 8 lb dumbbells and am now lifting 15 & 20 lbs dumbbells depending on what I am doing. I started out at 162.8 lbs and am at 147.4 lbs now, 32.8% body fat and am at 27.1% body fat…

thank you very helpful, much appreciated.

What about the carbs portion of that
-
i went to the fitnessfrog calculator to get both my tdee and bmr.
-
TDEE is your Total Daily Energy Expenditure, type TDEE in your search engine and it will ask for your age, height, weight and activity level and calculate what your tdee is and take that number and subtract 15-20% from it and thats what you should be eating to lose weight. good luck on your journey!

i work out 6 days a week with p90x, insanity, walking, and softball, pretty sure 1400-1700 won't help, what i need to know is should my calorie intake change from day to day because t & r are really high calorie burners with insanity and softball and usually a 2 mile walk all in one day. yes my diet is not great, i can't…
-
yeah count me in too!
-
Thank u all, great advice. I will check these out.

protein powder makes me wanna gag too, but I found that the GNC fruit punch weigh protein is alot better if you mix it with great value fruit punch drink mix for the single bottle water. i much prefer this over my chocolate protein now, it tastes close to kool-aid.

with my heart rate monitor i always burn more than mfp says i do. i would invest in an hrm for best results.
-
feel free to add me too.

thank you for the reply back, my workouts range from 45-60 min. a day and i have been walking 2 miles in the morning which adds another 30-40 min to my workout. my tdee is 2566 and my bmr is 1487. so if take 15% from 2566 that would have me eating 2181 calories. So do I need to net 2181 calories after excercise?
-
i won't lie, it is hard. you just have to take it at your own pace and use the pause button as many times as you need to. you will see results and start building more endurance as you go through the program. good luck if you decide to try it.
-
you build muscle and lose fat with both. they are awesome!
-
welcome to mfp! feel free to add me as a friend if you all want to! Good luck!!!
-
i always gain about 4-6 lbs when i first get back to working out. so be patient and continue eating right and excercising. you will see results, it's sometimes a tough road to get there so be strong, you can do it!
-
yeah i definitely want to keep the muscle i've gained and i love to work out so i'll just go with clothing sizes thanks for your input, much appreciated.

i am 5' 6", 153 lbs now but finding it really hard to get down to between 140 and 130. i would say 135 is a good goal weight.
