Wow! So many yummy foods. When looking for protein bars I use ebay and groceryrun.com.au (I think they are the same company as catch of the day). I tend to use ebay for PB2 as well.

Hi everyone, I looks like we are all suffuring from busy weeks. I have been on track with my diet and exercise, but I jumped on the scales this morning and am up 600g from Saturday. Not sure why. I slow cooked a silverside roast on Monday which I had for dinner Monday night and for lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday and then…

Hi everyone, It is great to see all of you doing so well. Whilst my nutrition has been on track for the past two weeks, I haven't been able to do "planned" exercise, due to a Trip to Tamworth, a horrid head cold and a couple of ****ty weeks at work. I have lost 600g though (as of Sat 1/2/14). So pretty happy with that. I…

Hi all, On a side note. Does anyone know if you can have message appear when you turn on your iphone. I want to put my mantra on my phone so that everytime I use it, I remind myself of my mantra and goals etc. I have an iphone 5, so if any knows if/how to do it, can you please let me know. Cheers Terri

Hello again. Well, I have just spent time working out my bmr, calorie defecit etc... All set to go for when I get back from Tamworth. Skim, like you I tend to yo yo and do the empty minded eating. Mungo, great news to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. Your paediatrician sounds very genuine - it's…

Good morning everyone. Well I slept through the alarm this morning. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night because our dog kept barking at and chasing a dingo which likes to visit us. I'm off to Tamworth tonight, so not sure if I can get any gym workouts done and don't know how the nutrition will go, but it is only for a…

Hi everyone, It's great to see everyone posting. Thankyou to those of you who mentioned drinking water. This is something I tend to forget so the reminders were great. Gym workout done this morning and eating on track so far. My hardest time for resisting snacking is while I cook dinner. I get home from work hungry, pick…

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who had one of "those" weekends. I had a work social club function on Saturday night and then lost control on Sunday. I find that if I have one bad thing, it opens the door for a binge. Might have to look into that.... I'm off to the Tamworth Country Music Festival on Wednesday night…

Ok. Step 1 - get one of my children to show me what instagram is and how to use it. Step 2 - use instagram.

Hi folks, I haven't done my measurments yet - will do tomorrow morning, but I just though I'd share some tips with you on measuring yourself that I learn't when doing the michelle bridges 12wbt. By following these steps, you should have accurate measurements. Bicep: place the hand of the opposite arm you are measuring so…

Hi there, I've been on MFP for the past couple of years. I have had a couple of breaks from logging etc. Just getting back into it again as I haven't logged since last October. I think I just got too caught up in counting calories and macros and was too strict on myself. At one stage the kitchen scales nearly went through…

Portion control can work for some people. This is what I do as I found weighing and counting calories was doing my head in. Although I have been at this for a while now, so I know what I should and shouldn't be eating. As long as you make smart choices and stick to your portion sizes and remember that your stomach is the…

feel free to add me. I love being outdoors, hiking, kayaking or just basking in the sun.

Thanks for the great info. Bumping to reread and soak up all of the details. I love the term MA way more than SM. It makes so much more sense.

Bump.

4 string cheese have 7g of protein and 1 protein bar has 20g of protein. Not sure if you made an error some where but by these numbers, string cheese do not have more protein than a protein bar. Having said that, have you tasted Swiss Recover Choc Coconut protein bars? They are absolutely delicious!

Yep, me too. Get up, go to the loo an then weigh. Once only though. My scales can fluctuate by up to 200g (not sure what that is in pounds), so I just take the first weight and BF%.

Wow. I've always thought the photos were just photoshopped. Can't believe they have the audacity to do that!

I hit 40 in 6 weeks. Feel free to add me.

Yes - to the point where my hubby gets annoyed at me for the length of time it takes me to cook dinner and pack my lunch etc. I must admit that I haven't been eating back my exercise cals though. I have been trawling through the forums trying to figure out whether to eat them back or not and have gotten completely…

O.K. So if my HRM says that I do say a 200 calorie burn, how many cals do you think would be a more accurate estimate of calories burnt? Should I go with 1/4 as previously mentioned? I have hit a bit of a plateau and maybe my inaccuracy of weight training cals (I weight train 5 days per week) might be why.
-
I wear a HRM when lifting weights (the majority of my workouts) and have been relying on the numbers it gives me. By reading the above comment, I am assuming that the numbers are incorrect for my lifting workouts. Is this true and why is it so? I usually burn around 200-250 for an hours workout (up around 300 when I do a…

Hi, I love hiking but just haven't been able to get out there. Life gets in the way some times. I am planning on getting out a lot more this year. Whether it be hiking or kayaking. I would love to hike the Routeburn? track and do Milford Sound etc. FR sent.

Sounds delicious. Probably make for my next cheat meal and use full fat cream and cheese. Oh oh, did I mention cheat meal? Here comes the multiple "you shouldn't do cheat meal" threads....
