  • I agree with everyone else...you can ABSOLUTELY see the difference. You look very pretty, 144 lbs suits you well! Best wishes as you continue this lifelong journey to good health.
  • I would like to join too. My 22 yo son was visiting and has been doing P90X for ~ 6 months and looks and feels amazing. He is taking better care of his body which is great considering he is in Santa Barbara attending college...much less fast food and less alcohol. He's sending me his P90X so I will be starting ....probably…
  • I agree with everyone else get a good night's sleep. I think when I'm tired I eat more & sometimes exercise makes me wired. Hope you sleep well!!
  • I came up 1200 cal/day with myfitnesspal calculations. I don't religiously weigh & measure my food. I aim for 1200 but am ok if I go up 1500 cal/day, if it is a weekend get together with friends or I'm truly hungry. I am ok eating my workout calories, I do Bikram (hot) yoga (~ 600/calories burned per hour). If I feel…
  • Love that one about blaming weight on pregnancy!! It is sure depressing to weigh more unpregnant than I did pregnant with my 21 yo son (weight at that time 164#) can finally say I weigh less than that and it has been a long time since I could have said that. Waaaay to many years over weight, but today is all we have and…
  • Just starting to check this wonderful log more often and enjoying the full benefits of MFP. I took beginning digital photography and have a point and shoot. I like that you wrote you had a point and shoot for 5-6 years before went to DSRL. I'm not there yet but I can certainly see why you've taken every class in the area!…
  • Also I'd love more myfitnesspal friends so please "friend" me if you do too.
  • Everyone recommends this site, I'm 55 and slowly taking the weight off. I love this message board & MFP. Currently I'm doing Bikram yoga 4 days week on average, on other days walk or go to high school track and trying to run 5K or ~ a little over 3 miles then 1 or 2 days a week to rest. Somedays I'm super hungry and go…
  • Well like everyone else says you look amazing... I could see huge change with 40 lb wt loss but 75 you are a totally new woman!! Enjoy your success, I like what you said just eating sensibly and exercise no gimmicks or unhealthy/risky quick weight loss scheme. CongratS!!
  • You are to funny!! I did get strawberries for a spinach salad and my "oscar night" party Sunday night! Might have to try someones suggestion of having them with peanut butter, I was thinking dipping a few in melted semi-sweet choc. chips
  • I like that idea of half potatoes and half cauliflower. I'm having homemade vegetable, kale and lentil soup...the kale is strong flavor so recooking and someone said to add lemon juice so I hope it helps. Also feel like some light cheese and sourdough fr. bread.
  • Good question! I feel like I'm the only one who goes over on daily allotment of calories & others always say "under calories" or something like that. I like to get ideas from others about food choices and I think that I'm honest with what I record even though public. I did hear a doctor lecture and he said when people…
  • Your children are darling! Definitely try not to talk about your weight issues or how much you dislike yourself or your weight...I'm a school nurse and we mom's definitely have an affect on our daughters. Sadly many (most) young girls start worrying about their weight at younger and younger ages. I think it is ok to talk…
  • I was treated for depression in my early 20's after my younger brother died (motorcycle accident)...I was put on antidepressants and helped...I can remember when I started to feel a fog lift and could see in colors instead of shades of grey....I was able to get off meds cuz I wanted to have kids some day (which I did). The…
  • You look great! My heaviest was 175ish; now 157...you are inspiring me!! Keep up the great work. Is it ok to be happy with just not gaining weight around the holidays? :flowerforyou: :drinker:
  • I went over today big time....went to a place called Apple Hill (Placerville area of CA) and went wine tasting, brought a healthy picnic lunch then split a slice of apple pie alamode...but only ate about at third of it) and tasted a apple donut and had about a third of a carmel apple! Can't beat myself up but I'm noticing…
  • Come on everyone involved in FP4H, this would be an awesome group to get going!!!!  I have been going to FP4H for a year...the going is slow but going in the right direction. How I have needed to surrender my weight problems and yo-yo dieting!! Finally I realize it can only be achieved through His power. I…
  • This will be a challenge! Thanks for posting this topic and suggesting the tools to succeed. Count me in!
  • This is my group; I'm 54 and need to loose ~ 25 lbs. and am so sick of the yoyo weight down 2 up 5 dance routine. Today I walked 2.5 miles and was 247 calories according to my Omron pedometer. I did a lot of running around and bought 5 lb hand weights so now I have 3.3 lbs, 5 & 8lbs. The 8lbs are to heavy; I don't feel…
  • Oh so funny I did overeaters annonymous HOW and wasn't allowed any breads/carbs and the minute I went off of it the weight came back in a flash! It is truly about small changes but some days are sure easier than others....I'm starting to feel worse if I blow it . Before if I denied myself I felt worse...so I'm hoping and…

I am a former WW member ; now doing First Place 4 Health Bible study & we meet weekly for 12 weeks then off a few then restarts with new Bible study...AMAZING program and while I work on many aspects of my life...the message is putting God first and working…
