Add me. I'm currently pregnant and am working out about a half hour per day = some weights, a lot of walking. Also lean towards the atheist side. :-)

Wow Josh, great job and good for you for using that stubbornness to your advantage. (btw, from the number of beautiful ladies who posted on this thread - looks like you have an exciting future ahead of you!)

Jessica Alba says that she wore a corset after her second child to help with the weight loss post-pregnancy but I always take what celebrities say with a grain of salt. I've been curious about this as well as I'm currently pregnant.

have you considered going on birth control? That might help regulate your period. (Then again, I'm not a doctor.)

Congratulations Jen! Glad you had such a great day. (It is a nice perk to be more athletic than the average teen)

I have some dental issues so I've been drinking/eating a lot of soup. So far its resulted in a 1 lb weight loss. Try to keep the soup as clear as possible. :-)

Great job! Thanks for posting!

I find accurate logging after the fact is an effective way to curb the binges. And keeping the food out of the house is also good. Last night I had dinner at a friend's house. This is usually a trigger (an eating situation I cannot control) but when I got home, there was no binge food, just some cheese strings and greek…

Remember that these dark moments are minor distractions on the way to good health. Whatever anyone says - and people love to judge moms, and especially single moms - remember that being a healthy person will make you an amazing mom and role model. You definitely inspire me!

I have two: 1. I've been posting my runs on FB with runkeeper and today I noticed one of my friends doing the same and I'm gonna assume (though of course I don't know for sure) that I inspired him! 2. I checked my fitbit stats and it turns out that I did over ten thousand steps every single day in the past two weeks except…

That is an epic makeover! Thank you so much for posting your story.

1. I like looking at my flatter tummy (and less love handles). 2. fitting into my work dresses that I had at the back of the closet. 3. Related to #2, not agonizing over what to wear to hide my tummy fat. 4. Feeling in control of my eating. :-)

GREAT LEGS! Thank you for the post. Your story sounds similar to mine. Darned pounds just snuck on!

During the race, you will run faster. It just happens with the adrenaline and the excitement and the crowds. However, to increase your speed in the meantime: 1. Run with faster people. You'll find that you'll challenge yourself more. 2. Run using the 10 to 1 cycle. 10 minutes of faster running with a 1 minute walking…

Wow, your story was damn compelling. You are quite a good writer and I hope you get to put that skill to work for you. I'm always impressed with how much confidence this taking control of our lives thing can have. Wishing you all the best!

Great post - although would love to see more pics!

The confidence in your last pic - says it all!

Great job! So inspiring.

Very inspiring, thank you for sharing.

sounds interesting. I may have to try it! do you feel this way of eating increases the speed at which you lose weight?
-
Bump. I think I observed the same thing earlier on and then did my usual thing of cutting everything with a smidge of fat in it. Incorporating some fat back in today. :-)

I'm 5"4 and weigh 129 lbs. My waist is 26.5 so I wear a 27 inch waist jeans, Smalls or Size 3/4. I carry the majority of my weight on my back (not my boobs, unfortunately!)

My progress is slow (I have less than 10 lbs to lose) and sometimes the scale goes backwards instead of forwards despite my workouts and I do feel discouraged. But I'm also pushing myself harder than I ever did before and tracking that progress through MFP and fitbit (I never really tracked myself before.) And my clothes…

I weigh myself every day. It keeps me accountable and is a daily reminder of my goals. Whenever I've gained weight, its been because I stopped weighing myself for a few weeks.
-
lulu - there is a group here on mfp that will estimate your bodyfat from your pics, measurements, and weight. They seem pretty accurate.
-
Seeing the scale go down and knowing that I did it without a) starving myself, b) working out for two hours a day (at least).

for me thin feels like freedom because I'm able to wear a wider variety of clothes. I can always tell I'm gaining weight when I see that pile of outfits on the bed that didn't work. Thin also feels like I'm being good to myself (I run a lot) by giving my legs and joints less weight to carry.

Great pictures! You have amazing style. Hope the journey continues to go well for you. thank you for positing.

Dancing, singing, listening to comedy can improve my mood pretty quickly. Also cleaning makes me feel a sense of accomplishment. Drinking some green tea makes me feel noble. Writing out your frustrating feelings or sharing them with a friend (although don't overwhelm them .) I also remind myself that my emotions are my…

Thank you for posting this. I definitely needed to see that. :-)
