Wow - great job!

I have also gained weight while eating clean and running 5 to 10 miles a day. Calorie counting is integral to my losing or maintaining my weight. I do not appear to have a shut-off switch. :-)

I always compete with all the runners on the treadmills beside me. Shh....don't tell anyone. :-)

congratulations on your weight loss and your lovely family. I'm looking forward to trying on my old clothes - only 4 lbs to go!

You certainly convinced me of the benefits of fitbit. I ordered one today! Well done. You look fantastic.

I know my excuses but I always seem to forget the consequences of falling for them. What works for me is: tracking my calories, drinking water and working out when I feel like it (rather than extreme 1 to 2 hr runs) and weighing myself several times a week. But I go on these long term (like a month or so) holidays from my…

Your kids are lucky to have you. If life ever hands them a tough situation, they'll be able to look back on everything that their dad achieved and know that with hard work and belief in oneself, great things are possible. Good for you for keeping a sense of humour about the situation.

I started dieting when I was an overweight 12 year old. I have heard it all. My dad and uncles used to say whenever I ate anything that wasn't a carrot that, "watch out, you'll get fat!" I understood that they meant it as a joke but I did end up in tears a few times before I was able to stop letting it hurt my feelings.…

I measure at narrowest point which is about 2 inches above my belly button. I'm 5"5 and weigh around 128 lbs and my waist is 26.5 inches. I'm pretty happy with that.

Before I went on vacay, I exercised hard every single day (running up to 8 miles per session), kept my cals under 1500 and I didn't lose a single pound. But I did look better! My theory is that I store a lot of water from working out and it takes a couple days to flush out. If you aren't suffering from over training:…

I've read that 12 to 15 reps before you lose good form is a great guage of whether a weight is heavy enough for you.

1. December 12th. made cookies for work and bought two bags of chocolate chips. I only needed one for the recipe so I took the other one to my bedroom and ate most of them before making myself pour them in the garbage. 2. Jan 1 - Ate three butter tarts, a piece of pie, stuffing and another cherry tart. I didn't even like…

Well done. I'm not a hugger but I wish I could give you a hug for all that you have overcome. So inspiring to hear someone come out the other side.

If you want to talk to someone, try the ladies change room. It's generally the easiest place to strike up a conversation. I also take a class outside of a gym and everyone has been much more sociable in that environment (it's one of those acrobatic silks classes). Other than that, ask a friend to come and hang out with you…
