Firstly, it is only the total calories which matter, and at 1200 calories you would not be meeting your base metabolic rate, so you are losing weight, perhaps to quickly. I used to diet all day, then blow it by drinking beer and eating a family size packet of chips as I was so hungry. One I started eating a good breakfast…

Hi there...I know the frustrations of weight loss, and if you view my profile you can see how I have yo-yoed over the last two years, generally because I get depressed and go back to eating and drinking comfort foods. I am being sucessful in my latest attempt (last three months), and hope to keep up the run. Feel free to…

I think once per week for an official weigh in, but as often as you like in between if you want to measure how much your weight can fluctuate during the day.

I am the same, if I eat one chocolate/drink one beer I feel I have blown it, so I let go and go on a bing. Someone put a really good quote on this site a few weeks back saying something like "so if you drop you mobil phone does that mean you should immediately get a hammer and smash it completely.... or do you pick it up…

I have no issue with people having a open marriage, at least they are being honest with each other, and they are not cheating on there contract with each other (unless they promised to be exclusive in their vows). Personally it would not work for me, but that is my decision based on my personal views of marriage. Mind you…

Be a Tiger, and proud of your body. My wife has them and every time I notice them it reminds me of what she went through to have our four kids, and the love I have for her from that.

Well done, I you should be proud of your achievement.

Allow two weeks to a month for full effect. Good on you for trying. I have been on up to 40mg/day, but now am on 20 mg and that keeps me from spiralling down too deep. If you drink you will either crash or go manic, so watch out for this effect.

My use of "Your" rather than "you're" is in reference to an earlier post.....probably too vague.

I am with you. I have been a very heavy drinker for years. I was never realy in control, just kept drinking until I felt numb, fell asleep, or worse. Lost friends, lost jobs, almost destroyed my marriage. I am not sure if I can really give it up entirely, but I am now down to drinking 1-2 times per week, instead of every…

Took me 10 years to kick to habit (I have been a smoker for 22 years), and I kicked it a month ago when the dog chewed up my packet. I was smacking and yelling at the dog, and my kids came out and told me off. That was my moment. I went through a week of bad cravings, but since then I have been o.k. I just have to avoid…

I think you have nothing to worry about if you are drinking 1-2 cans per day, as long as you are enjoying them, and as long as you are not one of the people who react adversly to the addititives I have cut out diet soda's at this point, and I think it is helping me reduce the cravings, but I was drinking 8 cans per day,…

I so get what you are going through, I have been "losing" weight for the last 10 years, but every time I got depressed or stressed I resorted to drinking and eating to excess, hence lost my way and gave up. You can get motivated through this site, and when you are having a down day or a set back, share it with your MFP…
