I started on MFP weighing in each Monday at work, then bought a new pair of scales for home about a month ago. I still have not made the change to my official weigh in scales, still use the ones in the office. I would like to make the switch, but will have to work out the difference, home does not include clothes, so the…

Over 30 and watch all the way. Feels wrong if I forget to put it back on. I have noticed a quick NSV, have had to change the notch I use this last week. It is the only jewellery I wear, apart from my wedding ring.

Bump to read later and check out profiles.... Scared that I might be too up-tight and British to be included in this thread.

"So I sit here scared but determined to get back on the bandwagon" Well that is the first step. The next step you already know as you have been on this journey a while.Yes you have had a bad week, but beating yourself up over it is not going to help. If you are well enough to get moving again do, if you can make better…

We have lost about the same amount so far. Add me and I will do what I can to help. I have found that little goals seem to work and just getting back up and re-starting when you faulter seems to work for me. If you have a bad morning, go for a walk at lunch and make better choices in the afternoon. I had a great weekend…

Often have soup at lunch in the colder months, as warming. Homemade, with loads of veggies. Yum. Indeed just had soup for lunch with a bread roll. I am playing squash later so know I can afford the carbs in the bread. But it is a meal, not a snack, so aim for 300-400 for lunch anyway.

Fits in well my my goals for this year. Can I play to?

I've been using MFP since Jan, mainly eating back all my exercise cals. Tracking my lose I seem to have lost a steady 2lb per week in average. I seem to lose a chunk then sit for a week or 2 then lose a chunk again, but seems to average out. I am just getting to the point that I think I have broken some of my old habbits,…

I am the same if there is food about I will pick. Working at home today, so know how tempting it is. I found that if I pack up my food for the day and have a large breakfast, a mid morning snack, lunch and a mid afternoon snack, I can just about get by, though I do tend to have some emergency fruit about in case needed. I…

Always been "large" and agreed to take part in the annual weight loss challenge at work. Jumped on the scales with no real intention of doing much more than not eating the cakes and chocolate in the office for a few weeks. The scales weighed in lbs, but being in the UK the number menat nothing. Converted to stones and…

The easiest answer to this is an exercise you enjoy doing, because you will keep doing it. Everybody will give a different answer to this, if you suggested running to me I would try for a few days, but then give up. I have never got the running bug. However put me on a squash court and I will run around like a mad thing…

Left over homemade veg curry on a single slice of wholemeal toast. Tasty, but I could have done with making it a bit warmer, still the kids liked it!

Current 11% Target 22% Half way there, wow this is a nice way to think about it!!

You have had a first week eating better food, trying to learn new habits. You have been fighting your cravings and old ways. Even before you get on a scale you have started to win the battle. I bet it took you longer than a week to put the extra on, it is going to take longer to take it back off. You will get there, you…

Morning, I did almost the same thing. Lost about 2 stone last year and got down to 18st. Then seemed to lose focus and slip. When I got on the scales just after Christmas I had put that back and some. So now 4 full month in I am just back to where I got to last year. You are right though it is the long term, somebody…

WII fit works a treat to get going, and the kids will love it too.

6lbs is nearly your first half a stone. Why not reward yourself with a treat, (Maybe not a sticky cake) I have a squash lesson for every 7lbs and this helps keep focus. My other half buys a bead for her bracelet. This is a long term change, not an overnight magic wand. You are losing, so keep it up

You have made a good start on mfp. If I were to begin my journey again I would measure and take photos on day one, and if you can bear to wait a week, just start to log your food without changing too much. Then You know where you are now and you can start to think what you need to change. As for exercises/activity without…

Yesterday had a good day: 1. Had calories spare at the end of the day: 2. Moved 2 fish tanks, so have man-handled about 500l of water out of the tanks, moved them and re-filled (No wonder I ache this morning)

OK after a total disaster last week, I have dropped my goal and will start smaller and work up over the next few weeks. Week 2 Weekly Goal: 2500 Mon: calories burned (how they were burned) Tues: calories burned (how they were burned) Wed: calories burned (how they were burned) Thur: calories burned (how they were burned)…
