  • I'm 27 with over 60 more lbs to lose.
  • Eat!!! You have to eat to keep your metabolism up so that you don't go in to starvation mode and stop burning. Plus, you need a minimum amount of calories for your body to function.
  • Congrats! I know that has to be a wonderful feeling. I can feel my stomach starting to tighten up a little bit and it is awesome! Keep up the hard work!
  • I like whole wheat bagel thins with peanut butter and a little fruit. All the fiber and protein keeps me full until lunch.
  • With anything, it is all about moderation. It is good that you are so into eating healthy and staying healthy but has it become the most important thing in your life? I hope you still are able to have time for things like spending time with friends and family, working, hanging out, etc. Also, based on the weights you have…
  • That is awesome! I wish I could get my husband on board with me. It is so unfair because we have gained the weight together but I am the only one trying to lose it. :grumble: Anyway, congrats on all your efforts and keep up the wonderful work!
  • I don't know anything about South Beach but just wanted to say thanks for sharing about your PCOS and insulin resistance. I have the same problems and I am at the beginning of my journey, weighing 220.8lbs and have a goal weight of 145lbs. It is nice to see someone with the same problems who has made so much progress. I…
  • In general, I would suggest you eat your exercise calories but it is really up to you. When you exercise, you burn calories and MFP adds them back in to ensure you eat enough calories to meet the weight loss parameters it has set for you. It is up to you really. In other programs I have done, you could save you exercise…
  • Thanks! I will definitely go ahead and give it a try. I will just have to watch out for my right knee.
  • That is so awesome! Congrats!

  • Congratulations! You are looking great!
  • Hey! I It looks like you are doing really well. You have already lost 7lbs! That is great. I am just getting starting again after gaining the 25lbs I had lost the year before I had my baby back. Don't be sad. It can be a little hard to meet people on here.
  • Wow! You look so great. Your hard work is really paying off. Congrats! And good luck moving forward. :)
  • Oh...I hate that little thing! It is always getting on to me..."Too busy to exercise last night, heh?" or "Glad you finally made time to exercsie again, Ashley." My hubby thinks it is hilarious. Oh...and my poor little fat Mii. She is just so ashamed of herself. You are right...you had better have a thick skin before you…
  • I, too, am a victim of all these things and I am working on them. I think cardio is best way to get rid of fat in the midsection. You can do all the crunches you want to build the muscle underneath but you need cardio to help burn the fat on top of the muscle. I have read that a lot of places. Also, cutting down on…
  • I know what you mean. It is really frustrating not to see the scale moving when you are working so hard. Don't get discouraged! Just keep at it and the pounds will start falling off!! BTW...Congrats on your big day!
  • I don't think you are doing anything wrong. These things just take time unfortunately. I have been a member of Curves since last July and I love it. The only thing I can suggest is that you might want to start walking a few days a week. Cardio always helps burn off those extra calories! I believe that is what they tell you…
  • I really like your post. It is so true! I know I need to just stop with the excuses and get it together. Thanks for the reality check!
