I'm not a "Ginger" but I agree with all that...but ditto Portland, OR on the description of Seattle.

I'm single so I always go it alone. I often enter events with friends so we can share travel and accommodation expenses. I'm not a fast runner so my friends are usually waiting for me at the finish...but hey, I "get 'er done"!

I use Advocare meal replacement shakes and nutritional products. I don't want commercial over the counter stuff with fillers in my body. I work very hard for what I have and don't want to ruin all my hard work. I'm particular that way.

This very same thing is happening for over a month now. In the mean time, I had my annual check up last week and posed this question to my doctor. He told me told me not to obsess over the scales. In fact, he told me not to use the scale at all. He said as long as I was burning in more than I was consuming it WILL…

About $100. Honestly, fuel for my car to get to work costs my twice as much. Kinda sad isn't it?

Jane Fonda workout cassette tapes and book! :noway:

Patience is not one of my virtues! I hate the waiting game of losing. What helps me the most is not getting on the scale but once or trice a month. I get bummed when I hop on the scale and there is no progress!

Oh yes! Unless you post naked pictures(no, and I won't) most guys believe you to be fat! Just my experience. I've had the same thing happen. Believe me, they're not worth it in the scheme of things. I do think he was rude to say that!

I would first ask if you've been fitted for these shoes? The very first investment to running should not only be your time but your shoes. I tell everyone who wants to get serious about running to visit one of their local running stores to be fitted for running shoes. I had purchased my shoes from a department store and…

SOOOO much fun! I just got back and tailgated 3 days in a row! Gotta love the hunky Milwaukee police officers on Harleys!

I am a HUGE baseball fan! Just got back from the Brewers opening series against the Cards. I went to the All-Star game in Phoenix last year and this year in Kansas City planned. I'm going to experience the whole package. I'm a volunteer and I'm running the MLB fun run on July 8th. My favorite stadiums are Safeco Field (my…

Good for you! Doing it now as opposed to late is much better for you! I'm 51 and I took up running at 49. I'm still not in perfect shape. I'm not fast but I "get 'er done". I run because it's a challenge (in reality I suck at it). If you enjoy it and have fun at it, that's all that counts!

Jeff Galloway training program! Especially if you're a first time runner. It's an AMAZING program. I have learned so much. I have developed unconditional enthusiasm for running and a huge boost to my self esteem! Go for it...and don't look back!

I go to the gym to work hard and get all sweaty. I don't go there too look good. I want my results to look good! Besides, who wants makeup running down your face from sweat? There's this chick at my gym who cakes on the makeup, puts her hair in a "up do", wears tight fitting skimpy clothes and hangs out at the gym all day.…

You are right on! I was a 4H leader for many years and director of the dog project in my state. When my club competed, the judges were allowed to give EVERONE who competed rosettes and ribbons. These kids were hard core competitors and competed nationally at AKC events. Some are now big name professional handlers. You…

I was a couch potato too! After running my first 5K, I got addicted. This year I'm entered for 3 half marathons, a 10K, an 8K a 6K and 4 5K's...and not looking back. I found a running club that utilizes the Jeff Galloway training method and my time and performance have improved by leaps and bounds!

I "had" an unsupportive husband...he's gone! I'm happy and a new me. Inside and out!!! Now that I'm single I stay far away from possessive and controlling men. I associate ONLY with men who are proud to have me in their life....'nuff said! :-)

I'm a HUGE Brewers fan! Sad to see Prince Fielder go! I also like the Mariners, Seahawks and the Packers. Going to the MLB All-Star games again this year in Kansas City But this year I'm running the All-Star Fun Run and I'm also a volunteer.

Count me in too! I had to take fertility drugs to get pregnant.(My kids are grown) I recently had to have a hysterectomy and ovaries removed due to PCOS. I'm glad I did. I can't imagine my life the way it used to be.

I generally plan my water intake much like I plan my meals. It's measured the day before.

I use run keeper for all my running

The elliptical is easier than the treadmill. I can run a mile an hour faster on the elliptical than the treadmill. I feel like I'm cheating on the elliptical. I prefer running outdoors over using the treadmill or elliptical....but sometimes you don't have a choice.

WOW!! Great work! You should be very proud!

You are beautiful...inside and out! What a HUGE victory. KUDOS...and hugs!!

Be careful with OVER hydrating. It's true that water helps the liver flush the stored fat out of your system. However, if you drink TOO much water, you will lose electrolytes. This happened to me once. I had flushed my system too much and ended up passing out at work. Getting carted off in an ambulance in front of your…

Kudos to you! You rock! My sister is slated to have stomach bypass surgery. To me, I feel that is cheating. (JMHO) I'm bound and determined NOT to have surgery. I'm so proud of you for not taking that route! ~OWW~
