My weight has fluctuated so much over the years. I was as low as 119 in my early twenties and have been as high as 190 recently. I found in the past I was happiest around 140 but guess what? I am almost more satisfied now at 171 just because I am more tight and shapely. My goal is no longer a number but to continue…

I also agree with trying out mixed grip. I was against it myself at first but now thaf I am getting used to it, I am finding it a lifesaver. Try it out for 3 workouts and then see how you feel about it. Just make sure to alternate which hand is over and which is under.

I also can not figure this out from my phone. I often make the same thing a few nights a month but change ingredients here and there and would like to be able to edit instead if remaking the whole recipe.

I have found I enjoy heavy lifting much more than cardio and therefore can stick with it better. As a result I have been consistently losing inches. The lbs on the scale are moving slowly but I have more confidence in my body than I have in years and everything is tightening up nicely. I always thought I had a flat butt…

I also had this problem for the first week or so. I have found wearing a hoodie and placing the bar a little lower helps a ton. You will find out what works for you as you go but do not let all that weight sit on the top of your spine!

I charged my flex all day once only to find it only had one light still. Took it out, cleaned the contacts and put it back in the charger and it has not happened since.

I can definitely see a difference! Keep up the great work and you will soon have all the confidence i. The world!

I agree with the others on mixed grip. I kept losing my grip once I got to 170lbs and my husband convinced me to try mixed grip. It felt awkward at first but I am now able to lift 205 without straps. Also if you do mixed grip make sure to alternate which hand is over and which hand is under for every set.

It probabaly depends how much your set up weighs in total. I would be careful with the deadlifts though. My husband DL's in the 400s for his working weight and when we moved his rubber pads to clean the other day realized that the concrete underneath was broken and crumbling apart.

Have you updayed your weight loss goals? They may still have you at a defecit from your highest weight if not. I had this problem.

I had a similar situation with a cousin. I posted old scanned photos from way back in the 70s and 80s on facebook that had my mother in them along with my cousin and his ex wife. My cousin messaged me and asked me to remove them because he didnt want to argue with his current wife and although I thought it was rather…

I am in the same spot as you almost exactly. Also trying to quit using the ecig and nicotine patches combined with wellbutrin my doc prescribed to help stave off nicotine and food cravings. Its hard to make two big changes at the same time. Give yourself a pat on the back and be thankful you havent gained more. I always…

Has this started since you have been eating at a defecit? Maybe you are not providing your body with enough energy and its feeding on your muscles? Someone with more expertise than me will chime in I am sure. I remember the first time I started counting calories I was waiting tables and even though I had been doing the…

I have heard the pdf that they supply is confusing for stronglifts. My suggestion would be to follow the link someone posted for you above with a basic breakdown of the 5x5 program, join the 5x5 for women group here on MFP, post lots of questions, anddowload the app if you have a smartphone (search stronglifts). I have…

Wow after reading some of these I am even more thankful for my husband. Even though he does tend to stick his foot in his mouth sometimes he would never say some of most of the things posted here. But men, if a woman is upset, never tell her it must be her time of the month. Even if its true lol!

Hello! I am also a Ginger, 32 and mainly work from home so probably have a similar schedule. Also love fantasy books, though not so much into the sci fi... I have 4 children and have just started weight training. Would love to add you as a friend and help motivate each other!

I think the real question is this: Are you really so worried about looking hot while running that you would endanger your health and do so in -40 windchill factors? If so I think the problem more than likely lies in your way of thinking, not your husbands. You are likely to get pnuemonia or worse and to be quite honest if…

As to cheat days, I do it a little different than everyone else. I don't really have "cheat" days persay, but allow myself to have one small treat per day. It keeps my cravings at bay and I fit it into my calorie goal. I might have a can of Mt. Dew one day, or a Milky way another. Maybe a small amount of pasta, or whatever…

Read about amenorrhea (sp) it can happen as a result of exercising to much and eating too little and can be bad for you. Talk to your doc as suggested by others!

Thank uou all very much. I will be trying squatting again tomorrow and will try the suggestions. I will start 5x5 with the bar and focus on form. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks!

The change in your back and legs is amazing! You will be long and lean before you know it. Such an inspiration!
