I like all of these suggestions. I'm not ready for maintenance yet but it is something to think about. I have a coworker who uses the scale method. I don't want to count calories for the rest of my life either but I will if that's what it takes for me to continue being successful. It's a lot to consider.

I had a problem with liquids and food not moving into my pouch. It had to be fixed with a few weeks of medication. If you're having a huge problem in certain positions I would talk to your doctor sooner then later.

I have only taken one body shot and one face shot since the surgery and I wasn't impressed yet. I feel emotionally different. I just want to stop worrying about fitting into certain chairs or going through a drawer full of shirts (that are actually too big) looking for one that fits. It's mind boggling.

Thank you all. It makes me feel less alone to know I'm not the only one.

I look at friends diaries also to get ideas. I eat about 1000 calories a day 6 months out and it's a good amount of food when you're eating the right things. I eat a lot of fish and diary. I use sugar free everything such as ketchup and creamer. Sugar makes me sick as a dog most times. For me, starches like rice and potato…

I am two months out and the desire to eat is still not there. I get hungry. I eat when I'm hungry. But I'm still not getting enough calories a day. It gets frustrating. I remember being where you are and it's not fun but it does get easier and I hope it gets easier for me.

I've been getting my protein in. But I'm still averaging between 600-700 calories. The doctor told me to eat 5 full meals a day. I've just started today. I feel like I'm in a constant state of putting food in my mouth.

Food scale, measuring cup, food processor. I'm going to get a Ninja today. The blender I have now has been okay for protein shakes but I don't think it's going to hack it for the puree stage. A blender bottle is also very helpful for those times you don;t want to pull out a food processor. I couldn't have done my pre-op…

Thank you everyone. I needed to hear I wasn't alone.

Food is fuel. I tell myself this all day long. It has really helped during rough moments.

Great job!

...when you can't hand your seven year old his dinner without telling him how many calories are on the plate. ...when you have mfp on your laptop, cell, and kindle fire. ...when you want to work out just a little longer.
