I feel your pain! I've been on a plateau for about 4 months now. I tried upping calories... that hasn't worked. The only good news is that I haven't really gained from it. The only advice I can give is keep at it! According to the other posts I've read (when I'm depressed about my plateau) is that eventually something's…

I'm 5'4, started at 175 (highest was 180), and currently weigh 158. I will be so happy to reach 150, ecstatic to hit 140, and if I reach my goal of 135, I'll probably start to cry! I've been stuck at 158-161 for months now though. Tried eating more, eating less. I've tried exercising more. Next attempt to break this…

I would absolutely LOVE to do this race. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can afford the time off work and the trip down to Florida. Maybe one day though!

I used to do the 30 DS after my runs. I found after shorter runs(<10km), it was a good workout. But after long runs (10km +), I barely had the energy to do the strength portions properly. And if you're not able to do it properly, then you risk injuring yourself so it's really not worth it. I also found it much harder on my…

I use a hydration belt. This one to be specific: http://www.shop.runningroom.com/product_info.php?cPath=3_15_407_465&language_id=1&products_id=5824 I went with this one over the camelback, because some of the runners in my clinic complained about it bouncing and hitting their backs when they ran if it wasn't super tight. I…

I use 1% milk. Tastes okay with water, but tastes great with milk. Plus the milk has additional protein in it, so why not?

How does a psych major pass up a topic like this!? If you like case studies like this, I'd highly recommend Oliver Sacks' book "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat." It was part of my Human Neuropsychology class readings, and it was terrific!

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my lunch go now, that'll be the end…
