Greek yogurt, never had it before I noticed how much protein is in it!!! At first it takes some getting used to (I get plain unflavored) but now I like to dip my apple in it, at lunch at work I'll have a Greek yogurt, an apple, a protein shake and a natural pb sandwich on wheat bread (sorry low carbers, I eat bread lol) I…

Thats awsome! Lol, I just decided to cut my cardio day for a rest day. I don't want a runners body.....I want a lifters body, so why would I run and not lift?

^^^ this is true. If you don't continue to eat right and work out you will gain it back, most people gain even more. But a week off? That's nothing. Take those 5 lbs off over the course of a month, don't starve yourself to do it. Just do what has worked for you this whole time and it'll come back off. Just be patient :)

For the first several months of my journey I couldn't afford a gym membership (I found one after 3 and a half months that was just 10 bucks a month and I love it and go there everyday except one out of the week) so I would run outside with my trainer who is my best friend. I was 286 lbs and couldn't run a full minute at…

What's wrong with dry cereal? I ate it most everyday in the first 50 lbs of my journey. And what's wrong with a small brownie for that matter? If it fits in your cals and macros nothing is off limits :)

I've noticed this too. On weeks that I don't lose, the following week (it's taken a few weeks before) it comes off in a chunk, like 2 lbs. one time almost 3! So I wouldn't be disappointed, and to be honest, I'd love to be losing a pound a week again lol but it slows down a bit when you get closer and closer. Makes those 1…

Honestly, I will not eat if I'm not hungry. My body knows better than an estimated number on a website. If your hungry then eat, if your not, then don't worry about it. :)

To put in perspective, I had a cheat day when I went to an amusement park this weekend. And all the water weight is off and I'm now at my lowest weight. One day, one meal, won't kill you....just get back onto your normal routine and you'll be fine. :)

Pro: San Diego Chargers College: USC Trojans Wings for sure lol. Also a nice BBQ for the game is always fun, tri-tip or steak mmmm. Now I can't wait for the weekend lol

He should for sure, google bmr and tdee calculators. The bmr one is what he should never eat under. The tdee one is what he needs to eat to maintain. So from the tdee you subtract 500 would be 1 lb a week and those would be his cals for the day :)

That's funny, I've always disliked candy corn and those marshmallow peeps, but if it has chocolate and peanut butter I'm all about it haha

Every once in a while is perfectly fine to indulge :) no one ever got fat from one bad meal, and no one ever got lean from one good meal :) its what you do the MAJORITY of the time

Might be the intense workout. My first really intense one (in probably about the same time) I threw up twice then stopped. The first time I thought "whatever I'm good now" the second time I was like "ok and hour is enough for today" lol

I just got 10 lbs of chicken brest for 8.99 at Wally world. That's the main part of my dinner for the next week. Got some natural peanut butter and wheat bread, cost about 5 bucks for both. And a bunch of bananas for 55 cents a lb. for lunch. So it's pretty easy if you go in knowing what to get get. Come up with a plan…

I weigh daily. Because when I was at my largest, I hadn't weighed myself in a year probably....and in my head I had convinced myself I was around 30 lbs lighter than I actully was. Never again. IF (and hopefully never happens) I gain any weight back, I will not allow myself to deny it. It will be there in black and white.
-
I just eat a cheap generic wheat bread from the store. Nothing special, I ate the same kind before my journey too :)
-
This is the exact reason I stopped lol, I work out way too hard to cancel it out with a few drinks. But to each their own, I have no problem with others drinking. But to be honest, if you say your bored without a drink you may need to have a real look at that....

Been stuck on the last 19 for a bit now...what I was doing is no longer working. So I upped my cals (which scares me to death) and started focusing more on lifting and how my body looks compared to what the number says. I'm also cutting my cardio days down in favor of rest days. I know it won't help "weight loss" but it…

I'm 25, I'd go + or - 5 years maybe...at the most. Under that and their too young for a decent relationship, over that and their too old for where I am at this stage of my life (wanting to get married, have kids soon etc.) I really would prefer someone around my age. For just a fling, it isn't so important lol but for a…

I added weight to the bar :) always a great nsv!!!! And I killed it in the gym :)

I have 19 to lose, then 10 to gain....it's going to be a fun journey to summer next year :)

Start: 286 lbs (start on mfp 279) Current: 199 :) Goal: 180 (I haven't adjusted it down yet from 190, because when I reach that, I want feel that accomplishment, I deserve that) Oh, I'm 6'1"

Actully not by that far now, England is catching up rapidly. But I agree, I herd on the news a few weeks ago that for the first time in history this generations life expectancy is lower that that of their parents....that's so crazy. And sad.

In the next 5 years obesity will take the top spot. But I do agree its not good for you. I smoke currently and plan to quit soon. It's next in my list :) first was quitting drinking, I've done that. Next was get to a healthy weight range, I'm getting close to that. Last is smoking :) why last? Because its the hardest out…

I have a lot more to do after I reach goal. So much actully. I need to find that maintain point. Then I want to do a bulk, then I want to do a cut. I still will have at least a year after I reach goal of needing to count cals to make sure I'm exactly where I need to be, maintain, gain, or lose. So this site is going to be…

I had no health issues at all when I was fat....that wasnt the problem. The problem were self esteem issues, lack of confidence, and feeling down about myself in general. In terms of medical I was fine, but my mental health was suffering from being fat.

Monday. Keeps me in line on the weekends ;)
-
Thank you :) I figue it'll be better when I try to bulk anyway after I reach goal. That way I'll have some extra cals to snack on lol ;)

I can't do both at once. I quit drinking, then started my weight loss journey, smoking is next....one thing at a time :)
