That is fantastic! You look amazing!

I second that. Sugar from fruit is not the same as refined sugar. Except for people who are diabetic or pre-diabetic, eat as much fruit as you want! Fiber and water make the difference!! I know people who eat 90% of their calories from fruit and they are very thin. Don't fear fruit!

Since I started in January, I've lost between 1 to 4 pounds a week depending on the week. Usually 2.

You look fantastic girl! You should be very proud! Stay healthy! :)

I am not following the McDougall program, I've been following Fuhrman's Eat to Live program, but I would be interested in learning about your progress and success with the starch-based program.

Check out the BeFit YouTube page. Lots of workouts there! :)

Agreed. Oil is the most calorie dense food on the planet.

In my opinion, tofu would be the best option because it is cholesterol free and has some fiber. I would says beans are the absolute best option because of they are high in protein and soluble fiber.

Me as well. I have lost about 70 pounds since last July and have had some resolution of symptoms. Not on any medications.

I think many of them will have more respect for you for taking control and doing something about your health. You may feel nervous the first few times, but once you keep going and get into a groove you may find that it's not a big deal. Besides, if you stick with it the people who go a lot will notice a difference in you!

When I suffered a groin strain, I found the elliptical to be a great alternative that got my heart pumping.

There is a YouTube channel called BeFit. There are entire exercise videos on there. I have found it helpful.

I eat pretty much the same thing everyday. I read that when people eat a large variety, they are not as likely to be successful in losing weight and keeping it off because of the temptations, but I guess it depends on the individual. I found that eating pretty much the same thing everyday has helped me be successful and it…

Eating healthy, cardio and strength training. BEST FAT BURNERS!

I was addicted to soda, didn't know how to prepare food and ate fast food out of convenience.

I have found that it is easier for me to give something up entirely than it is to eat it in moderation. Make the choice that is best for you :)

I've found level 1 on YouTube... You have to buy the DVD to get the other levels.

I'm in for a reboot. I started in May, but found it difficult to do it back-to-back days because of soreness. I'll give it another go!

I'm 5'3 and currently around 141. My goal has been 125, but I still feel very flabby so I'll see when I get there!

The problem is that most processed foods don't contain most of the original nutrients from the food in it's natural state. Added synthetic vitamins are not really that great, plus you don't get the antioxidants that come from natural foods. Additionally, processed foods have added salt/fat and chemicals to keep them on the…

You probably dropped more weight than you think, but gained muscle so the scale won't show it. Awesome work!

What has helped me is eating a ton of vegetables. Start each meal with a salad or soup, but beware high oil, calorie dense dressings. You can eat raw non-starchy vegetables in unlimited quantities because they are so full of fiber and water and so low in calories. It would be virtually impossible to overeat on them, you'd…

soda and chocolate.

Fruit is the fastest and is very healthy with lots of water and fiber. I hear apples are truly best because of the pectin in the skin.

Wow, you look great! :)

I felt embarrassed and nervous when I first joined the gym. I've lost over 50 pounds and I still feel nervous about jogging in public. The truth is, anyone can gain weight and anyone can lose it. The fact that you are working towards your goal is a great accomplishment, and please don't let your nervousness or…
