  • I don't think this can be true, because UV light kills viruses and bacteria. And also, if it's not wet, (as in the surface of the bed) the virus can't survive anyway.
  • Hi! I had vertical sleeve gastrectomy one week ago. The pre op diet drive me insane, and the first week post o.o is rough! But you can do it! Friend me if you want to.
  • I had vertical sleeve gastrectomy 1 week ago, and am down 20 lbs since Christmas. 9 lbs since surgery!
  • Just started week 4, and I'm down 12 pounds. Having a difficult time making myself eat, which is weird.

  • I'm currently on day 10, and I've lost 7 pounds without actively changing my diet or exercise routine. I'm just never hungry. Only a little low level nausea so far.

  • Yeah, it's usually being underweight that hinders menarche, you should probably talk to an OBGYN, if nothing else, to rule out PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) I'm over 100 pounds overweight, and have my period regularly (except recently, when I went on Implanon, which keeps me from having it at all). Fat stores…
  • I'm usually over in everything except calories too (especially sodium) and as far as I can tell, it hasn't hindered my loss. Particularly if the sugars are coming from fruit, I think you're probably ok, it's not the same as if your sugar was coming from like, oreos. ;)
  • I'm not a nurse, but my husband is, and I keep the same night schedule that he does, so maybe that applies? Feel free to friend me, and I'll send him over here too!
  • Hmm. I always feel good when I leave the gym, and I can't really remember a time when I didn't...it's possible though that it's because I treat myself to a hydromassage after my workout every day. Who can feel bad after a massage?
  • I do all mine every time I go to the gym because I feel weird going there without doing any cardio, and then I figure, well, might as well do some weights. I do 50 minutes of cardio and then about 30 of strength before I let myself tan and have a massage. If I don't do the workout, I don't do the pampering.
  • I've used it, and it's basically MSG, making your food more flavorful, and thus satisfying you faster with less food. The real problem is that I forget to use it. It doesn't actually do anything to make you lose weight, except tricking your brain into thinking you've eaten more than you have. My dad uses it, and has lost…
  • I think I'm probably just going to have to suck it up and get a HRM. At 4 mph I'm running, and MFP doesn't even have that as a speed for running, lol.
  • I have really low days like this occasionally too, but that's different than just all the time being "unable" to eat 1200 (and most of them aren't eating back their workout calories either). You are not the person that we're hating on here. ;)
  • You know, I said this same thing yesterday, and everyone yelled at me for being "judgmental" and "uncaring." And then I was told that I'm "insensitive to anorexia." I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the '1200 is to much' people are ridiculous.
  • Don't be a jerk, this is the food and nutrition board, which seems like a place one would go for this sort of recipe.
  • I like it pretty thick, like pudding, but if I'm taking it to go, in a bottle or cup, I add a little vanilla soy milk or almond milk. Water works too, in a pinch. :) And if I'm out of flax, I add chia. Easy peasy.
  • That wasn't my intent, at all. The thing is though, that the World Health Organization says anything below 1200 calories is malnutrition. 900 calories is what people were given in concentration camps during WWII. Anyone in a first world country should have no problem eating at least 1200 calories. (Unless they have…
  • I'm allergic to bananas, but they -are- used to sweeten a lot of smoothies. I've started replacing banana with mango or kiwi in anything that calls for them. My favorite smoothie is mango with vanilla yogurt and flax seed. Nom!
  • My biggest pet peeve are the people who say "I'm having so much trouble eating 1200 calories! It's just too much!" I want to slap them.
  • LOVE THEM! I like the sour cream & onion and the regular flavors, I haven't had the chili lime, but I suspect I'd really like that. I wish I could find Salt & Vinegar ones. I usually get mine at Target, but I've seen them at all the local grocery stores. If you can't find them locally, Amazon has them.
  • That is SO FREAKIN' SMART!!!
  • Bahaha! Me too, except I always feel compelled to eat the whole box in one go, so I have to stop buying them.
  • My favorite thing right now is baked cauliflower, I toss chunks of it with just a bit of olive oil, and whatever seasonings look good at the time, bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Amazing. I also love raw sugar snap peas, pop chips, 40 calorie popsicles, frozen grapes, cheddar flavored rice cakes mixed with caramel flavored…
  • I figure that I'm fat enough that if I just sit down, there's not a lot they can do besides kill me. ;p Really though, I take my dog and a scalpel.
  • I looked back at pictures from when I thought I looked my best, and went with the weight that I was then. I'll still be officially "overweight" but when I'm thinner than that, I think I look funny and sort of horse-faced. I like myself best about 30 pounds overweight, because I like having boobs and hips. A little extra…
  • Dimples (on the face, or back) are a defect in the muscle. You can't do anything to get them if you don't already have them. (I have them, but they're not cute/sexy because I'm still fat!)
  • I do this, but I get a rotisserie chicken at Sams or the grocery store, and shred it up for use over the next few days. I take the skin off, and it's less sodium and more tasty than the canned stuff. :)
  • My sister just did the color run (my goal is to do it next year!) and her shoes were fine. Her white Color Run T-shirt that they gave her also washed completely clean. No need to fret! Good luck!
