  • It is hard working a full time job, exercising and family! I been doing this for almost a year! I kind of got off track within the last couple of months just because I got burned out. I suggest you start now! Then try to fit it in when work comes. I usually just do it all at once at the end of the day before bed time. The…

  • Never heard of it but I am going to check it out. Thanks for sharing!
  • I mess up on making Kale chips too. I am told that you set the oven on low like 250 degrees and check them frequently like every 6 minutes to prevent burning. I sometimes put too much olive oil on them and they turn out soggy. I am going to try again. How about cooked kale on the stove in some water in a sauce pan. Before…

  • I lose my motivation often. My husband is a gourmet eater and cook. I have to remind myself not to eat like him or I will re-gain the 18 lbs lost, which was the 18 lbs I gained after marrying him. LOL! I am happy where I am at now. I sometimes wear tight clothes to remind me that I could not be able to wear these anymore.…
  • That would be me. Actually I have severe chondromalcia behind my knee caps. I started running in 2010 for the first time in a long time. I got over zealous. Apparently, a weak muscle and a tight muscle pulled my knee cap out of line. When the knee cap is out of line, your bones rub together wearing down the cushion in your…
  • Congrats! That is a huge accomplishment! I been there too and I know the feeling! Best reward for loosing weight - new clothes in a smaller size!
  • Awesome! It does feel good that a man notices - especially if its the same old, same old that sees you day in and day out. If your husband notices, then you know its big change!

  • This never happen to me. But for when this happened to other people I know, it was due to a lack of H20. Do you drink water all day long? How about yesterday? Drinking water through out the day will totally effect you nausea ( of course don't drink too much.) This heat is enough to make anyone nausea! Especially if you eat…
  • Yep, I think there is something to tightening up shoe laces also. I can see how the tightness effect circulation. Keep an eye on your situation and if it persist, call you doctor.
  • Yep, it happens to me. I am not a "runner" anymore. But I do high intensity exercises to avoid gaining back the weight I loss from running. It might be the circulation from sitting too long, it might be a pinched nerve and it might be injury related. Always keep stretching to prevent injuries. Our muscles tend to lock up…
  • I can't remember what dish it is, but there is a dish with brown noodles that is well over a thousand calories! It was in the book "Eat this, Not that." I do know lettuce wraps are good. Happy birthday!
  • Totally awesome!
  • Yay for you! I think yoga is an excellent cross train for runners. I have some Yoga DVDs from Giaam. (spell?) They make beginner's versions as well as advance. They usually perform the yoga outdoors in Hawaii or in the mountains with relaxing music. My husband likes the basic " A.M and P.M yoga for weight loss." He says it…
  • This happens to me too - often! (bump) I find that I can take a break from this website and get re focused. Sometimes this helps. Other times, just hanging out on this web site inspires me to do better as I see the success of others. Also reading new material from magazines or web sites about nutrition and exercise help…
  • I stayed at my "happy" weight at 135 for the last 6 months. For some reason I been told I look thinner but I think that is only the type of summer clothes and smaller sizes I bought. Still 135 and still same measurements. I could loose more but I am very continent with my level of eating. At least I haven't gained it back…
  • I also read that yogurt smoothies work too. Chocolate milk works. If you lack protein in your diet - then go for protein shakes. If you are getting enough protein or too much, I wouldn't go overboard.
  • Wow!!! Great progress!!!! Your doing great!!! (I get embarrassed too - especially my behind. But I been noticing even the swimsuit models show some cheek too. LOL! :blushing:
  • Amazing! You look great!
  • I been getting ugly, but organic, strawberries from the farmer's market. Just have to pick out the bad stuff. Today I ate the pretty ones my husband bought at the store. I also had some frozen kind tonight on top of ice cream. If you get them from the store, make sure you wash them good. Its hard to get the pesticides out…
  • Awesome! Thanks for the inspiration!
  • I have knee problems too. Mine is severe chondromalicia behind the knee cap. That is a softening and degeneration of cartilage that happened from overuse. But also quads were tight and my back muscles were weak. So this pulled my knee cap out of line and caused bone rub on bone. After doing some serious running last year,…
  • whole wheat bread with lean deli meat and veggies like spinach, cumber, mustard (less calories than mayo.) May or may not have low fat cheese on sandwich. Low fat yogurt & apple for desert. If you need something else? Add raw baby carrots.
  • I hate tennis but kept going to tennis for my son's sake. He loves tennis. After 2 years, off and on, I think I am actually hooked! I hear you on the indoor swimming thing. Some pools are better than others but you hope the water is properly adjusted in chemicals. I really want to learn how to swim. Got an article from…

  • I have really got into a bad habit of staying up late several nights in a row. My husband had the flu last weekend as well as other people being sick at work. I did go to bed somewhat early last night because (lack of sleep) was catching up with me. Felt great today. Its amazing since I exercise regularly that my "quality"…
  • I recently started using Whey powder for breakfast, but not a regular basis. Bought a new blender and use the berry whey with frozen berries and milk. I was worried that it might cause me to starve before lunch time - and I usually do regardless of any breakfast. But it kept me full and felt good. My husband lost weight…
  • Might look up the food ahead of time to help you make the decision. I love coconut soups and sauces but they probably high in fat. White steamed rice is always better than fried rice. Stay away from the noodles and heavy sauces. Enjoy!
  • I don't have a sister, just a brother. Could encourage her to log back on, just not share her identity with you. That way she can get the same advice from someone else and not be offended. lol! Sometimes its hard to take advice from family. Most people don't like to take advice but just figure things out on their own. She…
  • I bought a new product from Nivea. I haven't tried it yet. Not sure if I should have wasted my money ($12.) I think it might help out in a very small way. The greatest way is loosing fat by exercise and low fat diet. Doesn't always guarantee the results of a supermodel look, but at least is something to improve your beauty.
  • I am so proud of you! Keep up the good habits! Your doing great!
