  • I experience that too. It stopped when I got annoyed that my son need help with his homework and I had to stop my boot camp workout.....then I asked myself, "what is wrong with me?" I got my priorities straighten out. God, then family, come first. Myself after that. Now I have a new problem. I have a day job in front of a…

  • Never hurt to check out garage sales. Long time ago I got a Wal-mart ladies mountain bike for $15. If you ride in a lot of hills, its good to have gears that you can shift to make that hill pedaling easier. Or riding over the sandy beach.
  • I feel your pain! My husband use to be skinny. He needs to lose weight. He is bigger than me and likes to tell me how to lose. I got him on the exercise habit. He exercises very early in morning - I am not a morning person. I exercise after work. Usually at home and I have my family interrupt me while I am trying a 30 or…
  • Please don't be discouraged. I think people are use to seeing everyone fatten up and slim down back and forth. Just stay slim down for yourself. This is for "you" anyway. If your happy feeling healthy and like to be able fit into cute clothes - than I would just keep it that way. :flowerforyou:
  • I would ask your dog's Vet about discount drugs for your dog. Tell him your in a grave financial situation and maybe he or she can help out. If not, check with another vet about discounted medicine for your dog's condition. If your dog is 9 years old (63 years old in dog's age) maybe he is mature enough to understand that…
  • My husband uses the organic apple cider vinegar as an anti-inflammatory. Not sure if it helped him loose. I personally don't care for the taste straight up. I do like it in salads and other recipes.
  • My heart goes out to you! Been there done that. But not going back. Had to go to a second doctor to find out the truth about something - not doing it again. Very sad but God has his plan and purpose. Takes a while figure it out why things are why they are. Yep, I heard weight loss can help. Exercise can help you sleep…
  • That is such an awesome feeling of accomplishment! Keep up your healthy lifestyle! You're doing great!
  • I go up and down 2-3 lbs often. Its mostly fluid/sodium bloat. Make sure you weigh at same time period. Morning weight is different than evening. If you keep going up I would be concerned. But I bet you'll be back down in 2 weeks.
  • I have the same problem at work too. One can play head games: Think that candy belongs to someone else. They didn't offer it to you but to people who come visit the office (guest.) Not the people who work there. It doesn't belong to you. It is to be saved for the "guests" only. Taking it would be like "stealing" without…
  • You can also add me too! I met my basic weight loss goal and seem to be stagnating. At least I am maintaining. I also have a very sedentary office job in health care. Staying in shape after working 40 hours a week, keeping up with family and everything else in life is really challenging! Not to mention resisting temptation…
  • Your doing great! I been slow too. During the long, cold winter. Hope with warmer weather we would pick up the pace. But slow can be good. It solidifys the healthy habits. No turning back now! :drinker:
  • Wow! I see a progress! Keep it up! Your doing great!
  • Awesome! Keep it up! Your doing great!
  • Yes, I got that within the last two years. Sometimes I think the acid makes us think we are hungry but its a false feeling. They say you shouldn't eat right before bed especially foods like steak, wine, chocolate, citrus fruit, tomatoes, mint gum, spicy foods, caffeine beverages that can cause a flare. If you must have a…
  • I think your wise for your decision. I say that because I permanently injured myself to were I will never race again. If you take it slow, you can go for many, many years. Do you think you could walk the marathon? If that is a possibility......otherwise, you need to listen to YOUR body. If she is your friend, she will get…
  • My favorite is cut the sweet potato in strips, toss in olive oil and a hot spice, then squeeze lime juice. Then put on a shallow cookie sheet and roast in oven. Might squeeze lime after wards.
  • The beauty of working out in the privacy of your own home......don't have to have people stare at you in the gym making a fool of yourself. I guess as long as your moving and getting your heart rate to where it should be is all that matters.
  • Yay! Keep up the healthy lifestyle! :drinker: (That's H20 cheers)
  • Sounds awesome! I think I have all those ingredients except for the greek yogurt. Must try! Thanks for sharing!
  • Walking is always good. So is biking. If you have access to an indoor pool, swimming can also be a nice exercise.
  • I don't get cable anymore but you can get this exercise.tv via your internet! My husband keeps talking about connecting our computer to the tv set and playing the exercises on the big screen. Go to exercise.tv on your internet. Some are free exercises some cost a small fee to download. My brother also has his WII connected…
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day, don't over exert yourself (make sure your not going over your heart rate,) get plenty of sleep at night, don't deprive yourself of calories. Depriving yourself of calories your body needs, like working out on an empty stomach because you skipped lunch, can also cause headache. If…
  • Keep up the great work! :drinker:
  • I hear you loud and clear!!! I did the 30 day shred, January of 2008 or was it 2009? Anyway I did the whole 30 days straight! Hated the feeling it gave my knees. I also did it early in the morning and I am not a morning person. It did feel stronger so it gave me a jump start for the rest of the year. But then I got out of…
  • I can totally relate! I don't know why people ask me to be there friends when I am doing all the cheering and I either barely hear from them or not at all. I am thinking about deleting the ones that not at all respond to me and just keeping my close group (regulars) and some that respond to me once a week. My life is going…
  • Love this advice! I heard that the body lotion sinks in better if you put it on wet skin. But I think it makes sense to towel dry and then put on the body lotion followed by self tanning lotion. I have tried Jergens (lighter version) also and because its so slow and gradual, never had any streaks at all on my olive skin…
  • I had to quit running last fall due to arthritis in knees. I was wearing New Balance then. I recently got Rebooks Zigs ( I think?) They have a zig zag cushion soles, I love them for the cushion! They can be used as running shoes but I am just doing indoor aerobic/ strength training right now. Don't get these mixed up with…
  • Sounds mysterious. I had to give up running due to severe cartlidge degeneration of my knees. My last big run was in September. I since tried to keep up the exercise to maintain stamina because I did not want to get out shape. I do Billy Blank's This Is Tae Bo for 45 minutes. It doesn't put a lot of pressure on my knees…
