  • Once I started a desk job from a waitressing job, I actually LOST weight! Its just that you need to make more of conscious effort when it comes to moving and eating. Simple things like using the restroom on a different floor, taking the stairs vs. elevator, parking in the back of the lot, walking to a coworkers cube…
  • Definitely Caribou Coffee K-Cups! I think this may be primarily a Midwestern brand/company, but if you can, try it!!!
  • 1. Doughnuts/pastries/etc. 2. Deep fried things (fries, onion rings, chicken wings) 3. Cheese on sandwiches--when I load it up with veggies, I don't even miss the cheese on my subs! 4. The "white" carbs--pasta, bread, potatoes 5. Not totally cut out, but I've really really cut back on alcohol!
  • I love cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and lemon pepper, with a bit of butter-flavored cooking spray
  • I tend to work out more when I have my monthly friend. For me personally, I've found that it not only helps to ward off chocolate cravings, but also helps alleviate any cramps! Even just a quick walk around the block is helpful!
  • I also have a desk job and do these minor things that really do add up and help me feel better! 1. Take the stairs as opposed to elevator whenever possible. 2. Use a restroom on a different floor, or further down the hall, or whatever. 3. Stand up and walk around, or at least stand up for 5 minutes every hour. Just to…

  • I like Dannon Light and Fit Greek. At my local supermarket, it was the best option, nutrition label-wise. 80 calories and pretty low sugar compared to other brands (can't remember off the top of my head what it is though). Very tasty too!
  • Homemade sweet potato wedges! Butter flavored cooking spray (0 calories!), cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder-baked at 400 degrees for 15 minutes! Yum!! Or a baked apple! Granny smith apple, wedged and cored, cinnamon and lemon juice. Baked at 400 for 10 minutes!
  • Yes, I do still wear some of my baggy dress pants to work. Mostly I just don't get rid of them because I'm always a little afraid that someday, they won't be baggy anymore! :-\ I know that's a bad attitude, but you just never know!!
  • My favorite snacks which I almost always have at my desk: Fiber One bars Special K cereal bars clementines Greek yogurt grapes (try them frozen!! yummmm!!) rice cakes raisins whole wheat English muffin or toast with some PB It is true that most of these have sugar, so be sure to watch that, if thats a concern of yours!
  • 5'5", 138 lbs, size 6-8 depending on style/brand, Ideal weight is 130-135...Almost there!!
  • I don't think there's a need to draw attention to it, so no need to explain to someone you've just met your diet and weight loss plan. Plus, there are plenty of lower calorie drink options if you so choose, such as light beer, vodka with club soda or tonic water, a glass of white wine, etc. Also, I agree with others who…
  • My fiance gave me a big bag of chocolates this morning, so I took a couple out for myself and brought the rest to share with my colleagues at work this morning! Share the wealth :-)
  • I'm in the same boat tonight, so I'm going to eat a smaller lunch than normal. Other tips, that echo what others have said: Avoid drinking your calories, get sauces/dressings on the side, plan to take half your meal home, share an app or dessert with your hunny :-) Best of all, enjoy the day. Everything is okay in…
  • I know at Bruegger's Bagels, a "skinny" cut bagel is worth 2/3 the calories of a whole bagel.
