  • ...yes because that was exactly my reasoning.... I guess I will go put oleander in my tea now.....geez maneez....
  • I don't see why Stevia wouldn't be ok as it is a natural product from a leaf. As natural as sugar...
  • vegetarian here and 13 weeks pregnant :)
  • We will find out the sex around week 20 or so. For awhile I thought I didn't really care at all what the sex of the baby was, but as of late I have been really hoping that it is a girl. I want to find out so I can start bonding with the baby early, and not get too excited one way or the other :)
  • I just did 10 minute solutions-prenatal pilates yesterday and I am feeling it today! I love pilates, so it was nice to have a pilates workout that is safe while pregnant.
  • 12 weeks today and last week of the first trimester! So happy! Hope everyone is well.
  • I have been feeling much better, and have been able to start getting back into mild exercise. I had my first ultrasound today and saw baby waving its arms and kicking its leg. It had a nice heart-rate of 168, so I am trying to relax and enjoy now. So weird and so cool! How is everyone else doing?
  • Has exercise been difficult for anyone else? I had been doing so well with workouts before I was pregnant, but now I am so tired and often nauseous, that naps usually win over exercise. Today I did some resistance band work and I felt almost like passing out, and I had to keep sitting down. It seemed like standing work was…
  • I am 5 weeks 3 days, and I have been very very tired and need to go to bed around 8:30, I also am not afraid to nap if I know I will need to stay up later. I have to pee alot, especially at night, and as of yesterday I have mild nausea most of the day. The nausea does seem to go away while I am in the act of eating. My…
  • Thinking of you C1. From what I am reading some bleeding can be normal in the first trimester.
  • Thanks for the welcome. No symptoms really other than falling asleep at 8:30, and getting heartburn more easily. Sounds like several of you have had symptoms, and are getting back to normal as you wrap up the first trimester :) What do you guys do with your weight tracker during pregnancy? Set it to gain to recommended…
  • I am due July 20th, so still hoping this baby sticks! This will be my first, and I also just switched calories to maintenance. Congrats to everyone :) Looking forward to supporting one another.
  • Name: Hannah Hubby: Mike How many kids do you have: This will be our first! Due Date: July 20, 2013 Do you know the gender: I think we will find out, not sure if we want it to be a surprise. Have you picked out the baby's name: Only a boys middle name. Joaquin for Mike's father who passed away. Where do you live:…
  • Hi all :) I just found out I am pregnant! Only 4 weeks, and fingers crossed that this baby sticks. This would be my first baby. I lost about 25 lbs, with MFP since February, and and just switched my calories to maintenance. Hoping to use MFP to gain weight at a healthy pace, and help keep me motivated to exercise.
  • Just took a glance at your profile, have you talked to anyone about your negative feelings about your body? You are very slim and look beautiful! Especially if you are an athlete who works out twice a day, you should be eating something like 2,000 calories, not 900! You are also still young, and your brain is still…
  • I always take 10% off of what my polar says, I read an article somewhere that it could be at MOST 10% off. So for 577, I would log 520. But yes, turbo burns serious calories! It isn't surprising you burned that much.
  • When I was 196 (and 5'8) I wore mostly US 12s and a few 14s
  • really great NSV :) Congrats!
  • I don't think it would really melt and it has a bitter flavor. I would try just using 1/8 cup sugar and having less caramel sauce. If you are worried more about the processed sugar rather than the calories I would use agave nectar for the sauce. It has a nice caramelized flavor.
  • Sometimes I estimate. Sometimes I log ingredients that I know are in the dish, or look for similar entries in the database.... or I just do what you did, quick add calories and start fresh the next day :)
  • Have a piece of fruit :)
  • Also try to focus on how your body looks, rather than a mystical number on the scale. Start doing more strength training. Take measurements and take a month break from the scale.
  • Try eating at maintenance calories for two weeks, then go back to your deficit.
  • I think it is fine to do 1200 calories for only 5 days. Your metabolism shouldn't be damaged in such a short period of time. Keep in mind you are burning muscle away along with fat, as well as losing lots of water. Personally I would stick to eating more/keeping my muscle mass up/ and still weighing less even if it takes…
  • This one is even more detailed for TDEE, you customize it to your schedule. http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/calorie-calculator.html
  • Here is a TDEE calculator. (What you would burn to maintain your current weight): http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html Take somewhere between moderate and heavy exercise and minus 20% or minus between 250-500 calories. This would be a very healthy deficit. You can do this!!!
  • Yes eat more!! Especially as you have less and less to lose. Try it for two weeks. :) I bet you will lose! Also since you only have less than 10 lbs to go to goal, try setting your loss to 1/2 lb-1 lb a week. Use this tool: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ and NEVER eat less than your BMR. (The amount you would burn…
