When I first started MFP almost 2 years ago I was a 5, then I was a 2! (current profile picture was me at a 2) Now this round I started at a 4 and am looking towards being a 3. I have curves (major hip action) and I've finally realized they're never going anywhere and I'm okay with that!

I found that cutting out my "normal" alcohol intake helped me tremendously with weight loss. I now have a glass of wine a month roughly and it's incredibly the difference I feel. I know what you mean about temptation (my partner and I are invested in a brewery!) but staying hydrated, I find, helps me resist the urge to…

If you're unable to tolerate strength training than yoga and Zumba are great ways to "tone up". You won't get the same results as strength training, but it all depends on how you feel and how you want to look.Personally I'm using Bikram Yoga to help me tone and I LOVE it. I've also done strengh training in the past. The…

Even if you take a pill continuously you can still have water weight gain in cycles, it just happens! I take a progesterone only pill continuously and still get some days out of the month when I bloat. Just because you take a pill continuously does not always mean you're free from some of the oh so wonderful side affects…

Hey there! I'm from Maine, restarting this again after losing almost 60lbs the first time around. I haven't gained quite all that back, 20 lbs. So far I've lost 15 and have about 20 more to go. Feel free to add me! I love supportive, positive friends! My food goal for today: Stay away from the Halloween chocolate and make…

Supplements don't usually help with being sore. Your muscles are getting used to the new regime. If you're uncomfortable sometimes a heating pad can help. Also, try some light yoga once you get home from your class. Good luck!

good for you for doing what you need for YOU! I was in the same boat a little over a year ago. I started working out hard to be where I wanted to be. When I told my boyfriend I wanted to run a Tough Mudder he told me I couldn't do it. I broke up with him, trained hard and ran one a month later. Don't let anyone get you…

Bikram (aka "hot") yoga helps mine tremendously!

I had hip surgery (twice in 2 years) and just now recovering from an abdominal surgery. I wish you the best of luck! I would discuss your options with your PT and see what they recommend, honestly mine were wonderful and actually allowed me to come in outside my appointments and "work out" in their gym while being…

Hey there! My goals may be slightly different than yours but I would love to have a new friend on here who is also positive and looking for great change! (profile picture is me at my previous weight I reached while on here, and have gained back 30lbs...). Feel free to add me and also message me for support! :)

Have you started to possibly cope with food now that you are off the medication? If you're not tracking and measuring everything you're eating it's very tough to know exactly what you are consuming. I stopped meds as well, at a much lower dose, but nonetheless found that it was not overly difficult for me to lose. I…

Hey there, I recently (3 weeks ago) had surgery to remove lesions from my intestines and pelvis caused by endometriosis. Recovery, from anything, is incredibly tough on your immune system which affects every aspect of your life when you're recovering. Before surgery I also drank alcohol quite a bit, but have found that…

I was simply looking for friends who have also used some of these tools. I was not asking for an opinion on the practice. If I was, I would certainly be open to opinions!

I'm in the same boat. I hit my goal weight last year while working a hospital lab and always moving. Now I work at a desk job and have put on about 15-20 lbs. I am unable to do lots of exercise, but I make sure to walk on my breaks and I keep my diet in check. I've lost about 13lbs so far on diet alone, so for me it makes…

Gender: Female Age: 23 Height: 5'5 Current Weight: 146 Goal Weight: 125 Reason: I want to be back to where I was when I was running Tough Mudders and all badass. I feel great in the 120s and I just want to get there again. Plus wearing a bikini in Mexico in a few months....

I can't say that I've tried Hypnosis but if you're thinking about it I'd say go for it! no matter what anyone says if you find something helps you then you should do it. I personally go to a Reiki practitioner and I find that that actually helps motivate me. It also helps me feel more connected to my body and therefore I…

Of course it is possible! 1lb a week is certainly doable if you are consistent. Good luck!

I cannot help yet since I am wanting to start this as well but willing to be a supportive buddy! Also I'd love to hear responses to this!

^^^^ all of this!!!!! I find fiber and I do not agree and sometimes my body and gluten do not as well....For me there are lots of factors. Try tracking your flares, it can help!

You certainly don't need to shop at Whole Foods to eat clean on a budget!!! I live about 40 minutes from Whole Foods so I do my shopping at my local grocery store. I try to buy veggies and fruits that are in season so I can buy whatever was grown locally. Since I live in the Northeast that's very limited in the winter so I…

I was on an SSRI for a couple months and while I did not necessarily gain weight from it I found it very hard to lose. I stopped it cold turkey (please do NOT do this without medical supervision) and found other ways to cope. Since stopping I've "easily" lost 12lbs and continue to lose with diet alone. I do think it played…

I have IBS and I do find during a "flare" I tend to weigh more due to my water and bloating. It eventually comes off if I give my system a rest for a while after a flare. Good luck!

well whatever the reason, for women, it usually tends to be hostile.

My biggest ones are people not wiping down their machines, hogging machines or free weights. Biggest one lately are the people that STARE at you. News flash....glaring at the person who is smaller than you won't make you any skinnier or more muscular. Ever think that the girl who are glaring at got that way from working…

I wish I could offer some advice but unforunately even after losing 40lbs I am in the same boat. It's such a vicious cycle and one that's so hard to break. I guess we just aren't "foodies" which in today's world is difficult

oh god...if only I weren't vegan...

I'm sure youll be running before the end of summer! Yes! unfortunatley I had to have a brace to keep my hip in place after surgery but hey, it was worth it! Good luck!

So I kinda feel like an idiot but I can't tell if you're joking or not. Mostly because if you're serious I feel really bad for the lack of humor in your life. Hope that cleanse works for you...nothing like trying to force your body to unnatrually do something it already does every day without your ignorant help. Oh oops,…
